There aren't many, but if everyone adheres to them, the Yo-Zone will be a truly great place to be!

1. All Yo-Zoners shall treat each other with dignity and respect.
This does not mean we have to agree all the time, but that any disagreements will be discussed genuinely,
without bullying, name-calling or otherwise insulting behaviour.

2. All discussions of Ioan Gruffudd and his career shall remain civilised on the main board
Any 'controversial' issues shall be confined to the Twilight Zone, for members only, and even then may be
subject to moderation/removal by Admin.

3. No 'textspeak' allowed.
Although some well-know abbreviations, such as BTW (by the way) LOL (laugh out loud) and IMHO (in my honest
opinion) etc. are acceptable.

4. The technical rules of the forum shall be adhered to.
These include the size of avatars and signature banners. (see related announcements in Admin News)

5. There shall not be wholesale 'lifting' of posts or pictures from other sites. Please use your discretion when posting material, as copyright issues could close us down. Remember the golden rule 'Quality Not Quantity'. Admin staff will be open to pleas for exceptions, of course, but the final decision rests with Admin and offending posts will be edited or deleted.

Thank you for your co-operation,

Stevie T (Admin)

Thanks, StevieT. These rules seem very fair and allow for a wide range of members and opinions. And the Yo-Zone is already a truly great place to be!

Salute to StevieT, Aye aye!!

Hey, on the simple techspeak--can we ask if we don't know one? Don't forget I am full-fledged class of technical amoeba '07.

One other question--do you have a one-strike rule about a post, or do you remove the offensive post, do your best to remind unkowing offender about rules and give them one more chance? How far will soemting go before teh ban I guess is my question?

One I hope is never completed. I like here, I like all people here. I also like cupcakes. Chocalate with yellow. Possibly a few sprinkles.

Of course you can ask.........we don't bite! (Well, not often, and then only if you're a certain Welshboy......)

This depends on the content of the post. If there is an offensive word, for example, in an otherwise okay post, then just that word will be censored. If the tone or language of the whole post is offensive then it may be deleted and the poster warned. Repeat offenders who disregard polite requests to desist will be banned.

Hope this clears things up for everyone.

In the case of acronyms you don't know the meaning of, you can either ask (someone will be glad to answer your questions, if they can) or look them up in these sites:
http://www.lingo2word.com/lists/acronym_listA.html
http://www.netlingo.com/index.cfm

Though they have not been broken so far. I'd like to remind that general netiquette rules apply here (see http://www.albion.com/netiquette/corerules.html or http://www.learnthenet.com/english/html/09netiqt.htm).

Seems very fair to me, too.

Indeed. This will help us avoid some "unpleasant" situations. No need to go thru that again!
