Probably so. We are easily more relaxed when with a few quality friends than when in front of masses and the written page gives us some precious minutes to think about what we would like or have to say.
marthe- 07-04-2008
Maybe we just express ourselves better on the page or in the company of a few quality friends rather than the masses  .
Yes Gaff, I agree with you. I can also express myself better when I can write it down and certainly share my feelings with quality friends.
The masses, they talk and talk, but they say nothing. I hate being in the masses.
Gaffer'sGirl- 07-04-2008
Yes Frances and Marthe - I believe time for thinking about what's being said and friends who pay attention to what you are trying to say are key to the enjoyment of posting.

I never dreamed I'd post so much myself! Ioanzone is the only posting I do,too. I really do feel like a chatterbox as well. But,it's so much fun, ain't it?!!
Gaffer'sGirl- 07-05-2008
Maybe that's it. It's the only place I post, too. You'll be coming up on 2000 before you know it, Ship. Think how much you'd post if you could post from home. We'd both be in trouble.
Shipmate- 07-05-2008
Don't I know it!!!!!!!! :rotf:
Silvia- 07-07-2008
I must be extremely gabby because I'm over 3,000! And I had even considered not ever posting. I'm an IZ addict.
There“s no cure for that GG, trust me I can tell!!!! I even came up with my own forum to keep the chatterbox going, hehehhe!!!!!
Gaffer'sGirl- 07-08-2008
Silvia, I plan to check your Hugh Laurie site out soon. But, don't get so caught up that you forget to gab here.

Exactly! Well said!
I never dreamed I'd post so much myself!
Ship I never imagined that I would be posting anything when I first seen any forum for that matter. I went with my sister to the net club, since we didn't have internet or a computer even (did have the knowledge about them from school) and than I stumbled upon several forums and I had no idea how that works. Where do someone join, how, how to post a subject and all other question came to mind. And I was very insecure about my English that I didn't dare to post anything. But after lurking some time I thought -that is so nice, people from all over the world are joined by something in common and they are sharing their ideas and thoughts and views and many things and that brings them together.
Every new post is achievement for all of us! Post away!

Hi Selma, I know what you mean about feeling so new to the internet when I started posting here. Most of my 'experience' with the computer has been gained by trial-and-error (lots of error!!),and I've learned so much just by watching what some of you,out there, do too!! Soooo, thanks,Everyone!
Gaffer'sGirl- 07-09-2008
I'm quite glad you took up the challenge and that you are posting on IZ, Selma  . You are certainly one of those people from around the world who has taught me a lot from your posts. So keep on Posting!
And yes, Ioan is quite a nice topic to post about and stimulate us to gather together  .
Hey, Ship, just saw your message. :bye: But I mean that as a hello, not a bye.
Shipmate- 07-09-2008
In imitation of Homer Simpson,I will say: .................mmmmmmmm,Ioan Gruffudd,......mmmmmmmm.......stimulate us to gather together,.......mmmmmmmm! :bart:
Gaffer'sGirl- 07-09-2008
:rotf: Yes, quite appropriate since I seem to recall that he likes The Simpsons. It's a lot of fun for us, too:naughty.
Shipmate- 07-09-2008
......mmmmmm,yeah......fun..........did you say 'naughty'?.......mmm.......the alley.......... :bye: .........hi!...........

I would have never thought either that I would actively participate in a forum when I discovered online forums existed. In my case, I started stumbling upon forums when I had DSL installed six or seven years ago and had no clue how they worked, but at the same time I was intrigued by the idea that a common passion could bring people from all over the world together. What prevented me from posting at the beginning was my wondering whether I could positively contribute to conversations, but then I decided to give posting a try and see what happened.
