Hi Nicolette, I suppose, since you are from France, that you saw the "uncut" version of "The Gathering"? We only seem to be able to get the "cut" version here in the States.

Nicolette- 05-24-2008

Yes Shipmate.  It seems french people are "weirdo" :???: because in our country "sex scenes" are allowed. :wall: :wall:  Anyway it always "shock" me when actors do nudity scenes or love scenes. ;angry: I'm modest, I do not like that. Pffffff but I THINK all the actors/actresses on the planet do so, or did so. Well, I begin to get used to that you know... :???: Anyway, for some friends of mine, I uploaded the part of the love scene on the Web. Do you want the link to it?

Gaffer'sGirl- 05-24-2008

It sounds like you have many Ioan movies to see. I hope that you are able to find them as some are treasures.

Nicolette- 05-25-2008

Hi everyone. :) It is "Mother's Day " today in France. :) So: "Happy Mother's Day" to all of you who have children, and to all of your own mothers. :applaud: :hug Yes, I can see I still have to watch a lot of movies! :???: Really? What ones would you advice me to see then, first? Thank you in advance. :hug

If you haven't seen Hornblower yet, Nicolette, I'd start from there.

Gaffer'sGirl- 05-25-2008

I agree with Frances. Hornblower is probably the most easily found and a great starting point, with great acting from all, adventure, and most Ioan fans are familiar with it. Since their are eight episodes - it gives you a lot of viewing time of Ioan through the years. Also Amazing Grace (of course), The Forsyte Saga and Solomon and Gaenor. WarriorSelma's favorite - Warriors can still be found in parts on Youtube. Not the best way to watch it, but it is very hard to find and hasn't played on TV here for quite awhile. The story is heartbreaking and once again well acted. Ioan is so different in this than many other roles. Worth a look. Happy Mother's Day to you and your family. Nicolette and any other French IZ'ers.

Nicolette- 05-25-2008

Thank you Gaffer'sGirl. :) Thanks to you too Frances. I just saw one part of an episode of "Horatio Hornblower" on an italian channel, years ago. Ok, I'll start by that I think. BUT yes, definitely I want to see (I'm gonna by the Blu-Ray disc if it comes out now) "Amazing Grace". I heard Ioan say he is very proud of this movie. I want to see it soon, but in "High Def".

Gaffer'sGirl- 05-25-2008

I probably won't see it HD for quite awhile as my current TV takes a digital signal, so I can't see spending the extra to make it in HD right now. I did see it several times at the theater even though the closest it played to me was seventy miles away.

Nicolette- 05-26-2008

I'm sorry for that. Sure, it costs a lot, I AGREE. :???: And that's good  you went to see it several times at the theater. It's the best there. :) BUT sometimes I don't like it because the people are not polite: they make noise, they speak, they CRITICIZE the movie. ;angry: I'm less a "theater fan" now, with the years.

Frances- 05-26-2008

BUT sometimes I don't like it because the people are not polite: they make noise, they speak, they CRITICIZE the movie. ;angry: I'm less a "theater fan" now, with the years. I'm still a great "theatre fan", but I try to avoid going on Saturdays and Sundays, when there are usually too many people and it is likelier to find someone bothersome.

Gaffer'sGirl- 05-26-2008

For me it depends on the movie. For a popcorn movie like FF or Indiana Jones or a Comedy, I like a good crowd that laughs and enjoys the movie. For something more serious, I do like to be able to concentrate, so fewer people at a late screening is good by me.

Saturdays and Sundays, when there are usually too many people and it is likelier to find someone bothersome.Good choice.  For something more serious, I do like to be able to concentrate, so fewer people at a late screening is good by me.Same here, good choice. Pfffff for example, I went to see "The fountain" last year, with Hugh Jackman. Very weird movie, I agree, but still... People criticized it. I HATED it. :???: ;angry: It's not polite. It's very sad because as you do, I like being surrounded by a big and "nice" crowd. :) I just love that. But the "The fountain" experience marked me... :???: :???:

Shipmate- 05-27-2008

Hi Nicolette, I don't think I've ever welcomed you to Ioanzone. I'm sorry I haven't properly said hello to you. No. I can live without "the Scene" from "The Gathering". I pretty much can imagine things for myself. I've got a lovely imagination! Take care, Ship --------------------------- By the way, I highly recommend "Amazing Grace" and "Warriors" if you get the chance to see them.

Nicolette- 05-27-2008

I thought you had welcomed me... DO NOT worry then.  Thank you for the advices. :) I know you can imagine the scene by yourself. BUT to see it, NOW IT EXISTS, why not?

Nicolette- 05-27-2008

Here is the link to my video (entire love-scene). Before that scene there is the kiss scene but I think you got it in your "rated" version. So I did NOT add it. Just the love scene. WARNING : ADULT CONTENT IN LINK http://www.mediafire.com/?qywmcwmn9yd *post edited by Admin.
