What type of Accent is Ioan Doing?
Had insomnia last night and FF was on. I'm trying to figure out what Ioan's accent is.

I would guess just standard TV American - kind of like News Broadcasters who are trying to get rid of their regional accents. With most of them, some of their natural sound pops in occasionally. Personally, I think Ioan's American English sounded a little nasal with a slight twang, similar to my brother when he lived in Arizona. I did some searching and Reed Richard's fictional birthplace was Central City, California, but went to East Coast colleges. I'm not sure any of the actors in FF were trying to effect an accent. Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans were both born in Massachusetts and I think you can hear some East Coast attitude there, especially in Chiklis (which feels appropriate to his character to me). Ioan's accent was not a problem for me. California is a real mix of accents with all the people coming various state and countries. Having lived in California for over 35 years, I had someone ask me today if I was from the Midwest - Minnesota specifically, so who knows?

The accent sounds Midwestern to me.
