Earlier I was listening to Bette Midler's "The Rose". Gorgeous lyrics to that song! Knew it would be a hit the first time I heard it. I believe that there is a movie with the same name starring Bette and Frederick Forrest. I remember this quote "When you learn to cook we'll fire the chef. Hey Selma, you're right about that movie. I think it was very loosely based on the life of Janis Joplin. One of my fave singers. Matie - that's seriously one of my most favorite songs in the whole world. I remembering hearing that song when I was little, probably about 4 or 5 years old and it being my favorite song even then. Good choice!

So embarrassing, but I'm listening to Bye Bye Bye by Nsync.... :blush2:

Was listening to Michael Buble' sing "My Funny Valentine". Very appropriate for right now, huh? (Did I spell his name correctly? It looks funny to me.) Zowie! Can the man sing, or what?

Oh Selma for shame!!! :lol: Kai - I've been a fan of hers since JAGGED LITTLE PILL and I remain one today. I love that song!!! Gaff - you're in my aunt's era then. She was a huge Bobby Sherman fan!!! But then my other aunt was into David Cassidy and the Bay City Rollers. While yet my youngest aunt was (and still is) into Duran Duran. So we've all got our dirty little secrets. :wink:
