'The Collier Recruit' from 'Over the Hills and Far Away' music from the series Sharpe.
(Sigh! I'm going to have to start a thread in Not Ioan's aren't I, Hil?)
Count me in! Love Sharpe (Sean)!
Song of the moment is "This Kind of Lonely" by one and only Everlast! (I absolutely LOVE him!)

A song by Muse - not sure the name of it. But I'm really into this band right now!

Oysterband's "A Time of Her Own"
I first heard it as a part of a clip featuring Sharp and Teresa. Beautiful song! I think I'll go and find lyrics to post!
Here it is
A time of her own
She moved without fear, she moved within me
She moved in a time of her own
And her laughter and light streamed into my life
And my days filled with green and gold
It's so hard to love, it's so easy to lose
What you hold right there in your hands
When the power it brings goes out of control
And is no longer yours to command
She moved me to tears, she stripped away years
Turned my dark night into day
Now all that is gone like the soft winter sun
And turned all my green into grey

Muse is fantastic Gnat!
Black and White - Michael Jackson. I love it when it goes to the rap bit, sounds awesome every single time.

Oh I know Zoo! Muse is really amazing!
That MJ song, by the way, reminds me of my freshman year in high school. Oh man. Did I just age myself!
I'm now listening to Paramore - my cousin burned some of the songs she's got downloaded onto a CD for me. I have no idea the name of the song. But it's the whole Paramore CD that I'm listening to. It's awesome!!

Yeah, Paramore just got in here. They aren't bad!
Helter Skelter- The Beatles. Dear lord that song is awesome. I love U2's cover of it too.

A bridge (that carries us over) - Clannad
Gaffer'sGirl- 01-05-2008
I'm not listening to this physically, but it has been running through my head since I saw Jackson Brown in the movie Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story - a music biopic satire (raunchier than I expected, but for the most part funny,) definite R- directed by Jake Kasden, director of The TV Set.
The Pretender - Jackson Browne - He didn't sing this song, but haven't seen him in a long time.

I just bought a whole bunch of CD's from Amazon last week. Mostly old "best of's" from hip hop/r&b groups. So today I'm listening to the best of Brandy.......Baby Baby. I also bought the best of TLC, the best of Toni Braxton and the best of En Vogue.

Oh I love these artists! So are you into hip hop and r&b? I love all genre from classics to hip hop. Well maybe not grunge ok some grunge (will go with Pear Jam but not with Nirvana)
But hip hop and r&b are my favorites. I don't know if you ever heard of House of Pain which is my all time favorite. Everlast was a lead MC to House of Pain. They had released 3 albums and 2 compilations. They are best known by their hit single Jump Around. The song is from their album and all others are really really good. I love "Life Goes On"
Currently listening Beecake's "In My Arms" Beecake is a band where Billy Boyd (Peregrin from LOTR) sings!

Of course Selma! Who hasn't heard of HoP?? I'm like you with music. I'm very ecclectic. You should see my CD collection. I've got everything from Dixie Chicks, to Fiona Apple, to Eve, to Linkin Park, to Flyleaf to Puddle of Mudd to Kelly Clarkson to Fleetwood Mac and so on. I'm all over the place. I've always been a HUGE fan of TLC. I was so sad when I found out that Left Eye had been killed in that car accident. Terrible. That's a group I "grew up" listening to. They were just the best group ever - in my opinion.
Today it's Toni Braxton: I DON'T WANT TO
StevieT- 01-15-2008
You sound like me, Gnat! A tune to fit the mood is my motto.
Funny you should mention Puddle of Mudd. I was just listening to "She Frakking Hates Me!"( ) this afternoon. It was my constant companion during my marriage break-up (down?) along with "It's Been a While" by Staind and "This Is How You remind Me" by Nickelback - some good old, getting out that anger music!
WarriorSelma- 01-15-2008
Same here Stevie! i am versatile kinda girl when it comes with music, movies and sports! If it's good I'm down with it!
And Gnat not many people over her heard about HoP! Sadly I say because here people are into ultra folk music. It is kinda our trash country music with lamest lyrics you could ever her. One song goes "Wake me up, don't wake me up let me sleep it over" Really awful! But majority of people like it.
Our traditional songs called Sevdalinka are beautiful. Still a bit of country music wit a lot of emotions.
But HoP's beats make me wanna get up and dance.
Listening Duran Duran's "Rio" and I will later on play their "Wild Boys"
GNAT0629- 01-16-2008
Oh Stevie - that PoM song is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I bought that CD for that song alone. LOL!!!
Hey Selma - where is it you live again??
Today it's Flyleaf: CASSIE
(Interesting sidenote about this song - it's about one of the victims of Columbine High School)
