I've read something about Paddington Bear being brought to the big screen. How nice if Paddington makes it to the big screen and hopefully Ioan will be offered a part in it! BTW, Ray Winstone would be a perfect Paddington.

How cute THAT would be, Frances, huh? I'm thinking about something on the darker side---like a remake of "Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Hyde" maybe? I see how Ioan could really expand and interpret a role(s) like that!

Now that the wedding is over, maybe he'll be pursuing work again. I hope we hear some casting news soon. There is a possibility of a Writers Strike in the future, so Production companies are trying to get things filmed before that happens. I hope that means he'll get something soon.
With how well 3:10 to Yuma has done, maybe he can get his Western role.

That's my hope, too, really.

Yes, Ioan would look dashing in chaps and lasso, wouldn't he? Maybe a remake of the old Clark Gable/Marilyn Monroe "The Misfits"???

Maybe some mystery novel.....

Perhaps he could play Thomas Pitt from Anne Perry's mystery novels: it would also be a period piece, as they are set in the Victorian age.

Frances, I'm not familiar with those books, but sounds intriguing and it would be a series.
Shipmate - I was thinking of a more classic Western than 'The Misfits'. Were you thinking the Montgomery Clift role? It's a really good film, but there is so much tragedy related to it :dunno .
Stevie will know who this is - I want him to play Tarakanov ( a Russian Hunter and Trader) in my script Wrecked. Fat chance, but one can hope. It would be a great role for him.

Don't GG! That role is already haunting me, as you know! Suppose you sell it and someone else gets to play it? Aaarrrggghhhh! I'd be in the cinema yelling "Get off! that's Ioan's role!"
BTW, GG, I forgot to mention that this pic from Amazing Grace always makes me think of Tarakanov....

Yes, definitely. Anne Perry wrote 24 books starring Thomas Pitt and the 25th will be published in April 2008.
Even if they will never be made into films or a TV series, they are a good read for those who like mystery/detective novels, along with Anne Perry's "William Monk" series.

GG, Yes, the Montgomery Clift role would suit him just fine, I think! Let's go in production on it right now, haha! --------------Stevie, That picture of Ioan makes me feel cold and kinda makes you want to snuggle up to him a little, doesn't it?

Matie, take that Guttermaiden uniform off immediately, in this innocent thread! :tsk tsk: But yes, if you must know - looks like he needs a lovely warm, ah, cuddle!
Gaffer'sGirl- 09-19-2007
He does look in need of comfort and that could make a great Tarakanov. If only as he would be perfect.
Frances - I could handle watching a 25 part series - TV or movies. If I ever get the time I may have to crack open one of the books.
Shipmate - He does look somewhat like Montgomery Clift - must be the coloring. Though I hope Ioan's career goes better.
Shipmate- 09-19-2007
Boy,oh boy!!! SO do I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoooooosh!
