I read that Spike Lee will produce and direct the sequel of Inside Man (a thriller with Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster): that is a movie that I'd like to see Ioan in, too.
I loved that movie. Would you want to see him as someone helping or pursuing Clive Owen's character? Either one could have some potential for playing a darker character. I'd go see it.

I loved Inside Man, too. I'd like Ioan to help rather than pursuing Clive Owen's character, but either way the potential is there for playing a darker character. I think I'll go see the movie, if it is indeed produced, Ioan or not Ioan.

Watched a report this morning on the remake of 'The Hitcher'. The original off course had Rutger Hauer, who was just freaking good at being bad/cruel/evil. And I do believe that Sean Bean will do great in this remake.
But as I sat there I was wondering if Ioan could really play a character like the hitcher, or a Norman Bates (the orgininal one) or that guy on 'Saw' (their names escape me at the moment). Not necessarily a horror-movie, but someone who is really creepy..... Could he really play out the insanity in a subtle way? You know, a guy who seems to be perfectly normal, but is completely twisted?

... a Norman Bates (the orgininal one) or that guy on 'Saw' (their names escape me at the moment).
Anthony Perkins!!! THAT was the name I was looking for. The way he played Norman Bates in Pschyco was just amazing. It's off course a classic movie by now. But the way he start by playing a shy man, in the beginning of the movie you almost feel sorry for him and how you than slowly see him turn from a shy person into this creepy person who has completely lost his way. Great actor.
Yes, I think I would like to see if Ioan could play someone like that, with as much grace a Anthony Perkins did.

Once again I agree with the great and wise Sylvanie--but I do not share her doubts.
I think Ioan would make an excellent surprise bad guy, master manipulater. ;angry: I'm thinking some roll akin to a modern day Moriarty (I can't spell). If he doesn't want to be Bond anymore, he could be a great Bond Bad guy. I also think that Ioan would do a perfect Psycho-like part, provided the writing was as good as afore mentioned movie. He came really close to evil in Gathering.
No one said I had taste, judgement, or style. Where did I put that brain-pan again?

I'd love to see Ioan as James Bond but i'm not sure if it will ever happen I would love to see Ioan in something like Pride and Prejudice or another old Jane Austen classic. Or I'd lke to see him appear in a Shakesperian film I think he would be great in Twelfth Night.

I agree with KJ. I would love to see Ioan as the bad guy, but not a silly bad guy. I would prefer him to be really evil and nasty. Naughty too!!!!

Ioan and Legendary Roles work well togetherAlbert Einstein in the hands of a good director and an outstanding screen writer. Ioan plays legendary very well. The personal life of Einstein is very interesting to me. Especially his family life and his standing out when it took monumentally extraordinary courage during the time of Hitler's rise.
This is an excerpt about Albert Einstein from Wikipedia:
"Due to his fame and genius, Einstein found himself called on to give conclusive judgments on matters that had nothing to do with theoretical physics or mathematics. He was not timid, and he was aware of the world around him, with no illusion that ignoring politics would make world events fade away. His very visible position allowed him to speak and write frankly, even provocatively, at a time when many people of conscience could only flee to the underground or keep doubts about developments within their own movements to themselves for fear of internecine fighting."

Okay, so "look-wise" they're not an exact fit. But Wilberforce was only 5'2" and he won me over there - big time.

Rather than a role for Ioan, I'm speculating on whether or not this is the one he turned down in that article posted on IO. I just read about a Divine Comedy triology - Inferno (aimed for 2008), Purgatorio, and Paridisio. Vincent Spano is attached at Virgil with no listing for Dante. The production company Master Films Productions doesn't appear to have much of a history, so it seems like a fairly risky prospect to be tied to for long term. Anyway, it's total speculation and I suppose no way of ever knowing.

Well I want him to be a vampire... (If you've seen my video about his teeth you know what I mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdDWshKMoe4)
Either a cool one with the shades, or a more romantic gentleman type of vampire in Victorian period costume.
No one expecting anything when people are starting to faint around him.
They just think it's his looks.
And I agree, he'd be very good bad guy, because he seems so nice and it would be a definate shock effect to see him in a really evil role.
And well there is the role of Horatio Nelson but I think that might clash too big time with Hornblower
Maybe it's time for him to be a star in a modern day drama/action etc. maybe he'd be mafia assassin? Who just happens to be a vampire? And likes dressing up in period costumes?

I would would love to see him in a period piece like maybe 1st or 2nd World War. One of these great sagas like the RRegeneration Trilogy by Pat Barker. He has proved he 'ages' well and we all know he can act.
On a totally eyecandy, lighter side, I think he'd be scrumptious as a US motorcycle cop......those tight breeches.... :naughty
