What book would you buy for the baby? and why??
Kinda partial to the Winnie the Pooh series. they are cute and fun loving and loads of colorful pictures for baby

A book of fairy tales,or nursery rhymes, all so Daddy could do all the voices (and some sound effects, too!)

I would probably find a book from the area I live in to give, probably related to the Olympics with some Native tribal words or tales, so that the baby could learn about many other cultures in addition to it's own. We had a book of Japanese fairy tales that my Dad brought back from his travels and all of my sibs remember them fondly. Totally different then we were used to.

An additional book at this point,I think, would be "The Wind In The Willows" -- another opportunity for Ioan to show off his voice characters' personalities!

I would think that might be in the Baby's nursery. I think Dr Seuss is great, although we never read them growing up. I discovered him as a pre-school teacher and had such fun with the kids because some of his language is so creative.
