So, are there any rules regarding mentioning a certain girlfriend in here? Should we just ignore her, or what do you think?
(It will be hard though to not comment on her wedding dress later this year, don't you think...)
Welcome Lotten! 'Nice' comments can go anywhere, but let's not turn this into a Hello Magazine spread, hmmm? :rotf: iIf you want to 'discuss' in depth, do it in the Twilight Zone, but even there we have AE saturation levels, as this is Ioan's site!

You Made Me Laugh!
Well ... all I can say is ....
Girl, are you nuts?????????
Seriously though, bless your heart! And thank you! I promise to do my part. 8)
Thanks for the laugh.
Yes. I am repeating myself. But it bears repeating that - even as a newcomer to commenting in Ioanoshere - I am so genuinely grateful to have a place to come to after .... well, you know.
I was thinking today about this new "home" and that is exactly what I was feeling...that this is a cozy and inviting group of wonderful human beings/talkers.
And even though it does appear that you are a woman of courage to take this on, that it also seems apparent how important it is to continue what you all already had going ... that connecting is a beautiful thing.
So a big hurrah for you. The tradition started wasn't left to loose ends but brought here to mend and move on.
How else to feel but warm and cozy about that attitude.

Hey LA - her dress could NOT POSSIBLY be any worse than the one I saw a bride wearing the other night while watching this new show called THE REAL WEDDING CRASHERS. I mean, the show itself was hilarious. But her dress was awful and I couldn't believe she wore it in front of a minister and all her family. The thing was barely a sheet. It was cut down to her navel and anytime she bent over (which was a lot), her nay nays fell out. I was embarrassed for her. Until it came time for the reception and I saw the "oh so very classy" people there. Yikes!!

 oh!! my heart melted when I read this. Such a beautiful sentiment.
A couple of years ago, there was a wedding show on 1 of our tv channels. This followed people around for a couple of months as they planned their weddings etc, altho I have to say - none of the brides ever threw a 'bridezilla' attitude. But one bride had the most hideous wedding gown. Straight out of the late 1970's. She had designed it herself, but a dressmaker had made it for her

Well, I think that definitely qualifies for an apprenticeship, at least :naughty

Just let me know
Thank you StevieT, I am so p-p-proud <sniff> and honored to apprentice. Thanks for doing such an awesome job on the forum.
Sometimes that little voice, you know the one that says, "maybe we shouldn't go there," gets ignored. (Actually it is more like duct tape and hemp rope hog-tied before being shoved in a closet) so if I ever get too out of hand, just let me know. I want to be a good (if overly-obsessed-fan) girl.

... no such thing as getting too out of hand in here!!! It's part of the 'job' description
I want to be a good (if overly-obsessed-fan) girl.
... being a good girl?? then you are following the wrong man!! :applaud:

let's just place that little "stalker" idea in the closet with the voice of conscience shall we? :tsk tsk:
Just to be clear (so many poeple who read these public forums get the wrong impression) I was trying to be funny. :deadhorse: It was not intended as anything other than a not-so-innocent joke. :deadhorse: I apologise to any person or persons who may have been insulted, offended, or otherwise :deadhorse:
