Warriors - Finally for all to see! (no regions!)
For months now I have been searching high and low for Warriors in a Region 1 (or regionless) format, so those in the US (like myself) could watch it. I've only heard great things about the BBC series, and my search hadn't stopped until late lastnight. I didn't find it on DVD, but found a way for everyone to veiw it, for free! Lastnight I did a search on YouTube for Ioan Gruffudd (since I hadn't done so since last fall, and wanted to see what was new, in which lots of things are, lol!) After searching through a number of pages I finally saw it - Warriors, in 20 parts, 10 eight to eight and a half minute segments for each 'episode.' The video quality is really amazing, but the sound was on the quiet side - but that couldve been due to my laptop speakers (laptop speakers are never as good as real computer speakers.... imo) I watched the first 'episode' lastnight, and this evening will be the second. Now - I know there will be ways out there in the world to download the youtube videos via neat little programs, but I highly recommend talking to the User that posted the video, for permission. It only seems proper. (plus, if someone were to be blamed for something wrong, I dont want people saying I never warned them, lol) Anyways, I hope everyone is able to enjoy Warriors from anywhere you may be! I am so happy to have found this, and the second I did I knew I must tell everyone here! Pass the word, Warriors in on YouTube!!! Warriors Part 1 (start with Part 1, going up to 20.) Thanks to YouTube user Comtessmontecristo for the lovely videos! ~Amanda

I'm happy, too, that you found Warriors, Amanda. I hope you'll watch to the end and like it. If I can recall correctly, it was a fellow Yo-Zoner, maria (Comtessmontecristo on YouTube), who uploaded Warriors to YouTube, so you can drop her a PM through here to ask her if it is ok to download Warriors to your computer, or perhaps she is open to burn it on a CD and send it over to those interested.

I watched it back when she originally posted it and really appreciated it. Thanks Maria. GG

I wonder why I only see licenced copies from Holland, maybe because it is a much discussed subject, our troops were involved too. You can find legal/licensed copies from France (the title is "Warriors: L'Impossible Mission"), too.

Thanks Fishforit! Great pic, had me belt out a bit of a small chuckle at 6:30 AM on a sunday morning :) Thanks for the info on the region 1 DVD available, I will go find it. I dont know if messing with my DVD player is such a good idea.... I doesnt like to play burned DVDs anymore of anything. I spent most of lastnight watching my husband trying to get my laptop hooked up to my tv to watch a DVD made by my father-in-law (so we could watch it on the much larger screen.) After figuring his DVD wont even work on my laptop alone, we realized his DVD was faulty. So we tested out one of our own burned DVDs and worked fine in my laptop, but not on the DVD player in our entertainment center in the living room... grr. The last thing I want to do is mess around with things and find out It only made things worse. lol. But thank you for the link, I will forward it to my husband to see if its something he would want to mess with. (he's the technology genious here, I just listen to him, and try to learn, lol) So far I've watched the first half of Warriorsl. I do like it alot so far. I will give my full report on it once I'm done, of course. I've just been so busy with traveling (our familys live equally 2 hours away from us, in opposite directions.) Plus, a bit of planning for my upcoming birthday :) No need for the wishes yet, I will go start a celebrations thread for it when it comes time to. Okay, its officially too early to be trying to write on the forums, I've only just woken up (at 6 on a Sunday.... uhhg I hate not being able to sleep) Hope everyone is having a great weekend, Amanda EDIT: To add - Thanks Frances, we must've been writting at the same time! Ooops!

POSSIBLE SPOILER!!**
Thankyou so much for posting this on You Tube!! :applaud: I am still haunted by it, especially the ending. I, too, found myself yelling "Don't do it!!" at the TV screen and then nearly cried when he started crying. (But I cry at most things these days........think its my age). What a performance!!. I couldn't believe it ended there but i guess how else would you end it? I still cannot believe that that happened in Bosnia in 1992. It seemed like something out of WW2. Incredibly moving........ and stunning performance. Susie

Could not agree with you more, Suzie! Like I already said. One of Ioan's best performance. Not only his, but the other actors will very, very good too. They really convinced me as characters.
