Rumour has it that "W" will air on TV in Italy in January without going through theatres first. I'm not able to access the TV schedule for January yet, but someone spotted a trailer advertising the airing of "W" on January 19 on a network called "La7".

Hey, I saw 'W' tonight and if I have to adopt the 0 to 5 scale used by Italian critics, I'd give it 3.5/4 out of 5. Ioan's part was really very very short, but since the movie focused on George W. Bush, it makes sense that the actors who were not cast to depict Bush himself, his family and his staff were basically just extras. However, I think Ioan did a good job with the little screen time that he had. Overall, I liked the movie and it managed to make me feel a bit sorry for George W. Bush.

My reaction to the portrayl of George Bush was much the same which surprised me considering Oliver Stone's views and history. I think your rating is pretty accurate, too.

Considered Stone's views and history, I was surprised, too, by his portrayal of Bush, and I felt Stone was really trying hard to be fair and accurate in his telling of Bush's history and understand how Bush got be who he is and act like he did.

Hello. :) I hope you are doing well. I saw "W" too, and I also felt a bit sorry for Bush and in the same time I think Stone respects him. Stone makes him look a bit stupid, but not that much in the same time. I agree Stone just tried to be accurate, true. I didn't dislike this movie, I was just so sad to see "Tony Blair" just 1 minute. Josh Brolin is good in this movie. Bravo.

I'm glad all of you got to see the film. My assessment of it is pretty much in agreement with all of yours. (Wish they would have given Ioan more screen-time!!!!)

Well,my copy of "W." is on its way to me!!! Hooray, now we can see if there are any cut scenes in the special features section of the dvd. Should be fun finding out anyway! I want to see the movie again at any rate-----and Ioan's lone scene-----BAH!!!!!!

I'm hoping to get mine when it comes out.
