Methinks 'twill be 'quality not quantity', but I look forward to both Ioan and Stone's take on Tony's shiftiness around this issue!
Thanks for the icWales article, Stevie. I look forward to this movie. Even if Ioan is likely to have few scenes in 'W', it sounds like they will probably be great ones and ones that an actor can make a lot out of. And I guess that working with Oliver Stone is an opportunity hard to say 'no' to for an actor.
Thanks Stevie for the interesting Wales article about the movie W and the role that Ioan will play. I think it must be a great honnor for him. It proves that Ioan has a lot of qualities. I look forward to see the movie in Belgium.
Thanks a lot for all the articles and comments.
I am glad too that Ioan gets to work with Oliver Stone. :-)
I tend not to agree with Oliver Stone's views on politics. I might be skipping this one, especially if all the movie does is bash Pres. Bush. Don't really want to pay $8.50 for that.
... Most of all if we see Ioan... 5 seconds only! :P
But I don't know myself...
Hooray for Ioan!!!!! You go, WELSHBOY,GO!!!!! :Wales :Wales :Wales
I wonder when Ioan will begin to be on this set??
It depends, because Ioan's part will come later on in Bush's life. one thing's for sure, he won't have to work too hard on Tony's trademark 'niceness'!
I'm sure Brits will get more of the nuances of Ioan's performance and whether he hits it spot on than we will on this side of the ocean. We'll be dependent upon your imput as to how well he does portraying Mr. Blair. I would have never thought of a trademark "niceness".
Yes, it was quite a 'selling point of Blair's; lot's of smiles, time for everyone, Labour's bright new shining (nice) star. The smile got a little manic by the time the WoMD affair came along. I hope Ioan catches that......
Tony's wife, Cherie has just released a 'tell all' autobiography. Should be ideal airplane reading for Ioan
Thank you for the article. :)
Yes I guessed Ioan wouldn't have a big role in this motion picture. Pffffff anyway. :)
Regarding the Telegraph article....one has to know that the Daily Telegraph is a Tory rag - anti anything leftwing of Thatcher, but the British press in general has always portrayed Blair as being Bush's 'poodle' ( and Gordon isn't much better) where Iraq is concerned.....
But :tsk tsk: General - you're getting political again!
I've never believed this would be a 'comfortable' film to watch, but it could be interesting. I think Ioan could do a very convincing 'smarmy and obsequious' too!
Thank you for this nice article.
Heeee Ioan looks a bit like Blair on this pic.
Thanks for the article, Annee.

Oliver Stone is kind of a master of controversial subjects, but his films are often interesting. I hope 'W' will be, too.
