My guess would be that Ioan was not there based on what is written. First, Ioan has gotten more publicity for his role than Jeffery Wright, so it's likely he would be mentioned if he was involved.
Second, there was that Extra's blog from several weeks back that mentioned Ioan was there at the time. There's a good chance his shooting schedule is finished.
Third, (to answer your question, Annee) When "Crew" or "Crew Members" are mentioned it is usually in reference to the workers behind the cameras - camera people, gaffers, grips, production assistants, etc. - so it's not likely Ioan was amongst them.
Hope that helps.
Interesting article, Gina.
I guess I should add that I hope no one was hurt and I suppose we will find out more about what actually happened in the next few days.
Still, articles speak of 5 other members of THE CREW. To me, "crew" means "extra", "cameo". Am I right?
To elaborate on GG's answer to your question, Annee, I think we can put it this way
Crew is collective term for anyone involved with the production of a movie who does not appear in the movie (the collective term for the actors appearing in a particular movie is cast);
an extra is a person hired by the day to play a minor part in a group scene:
a cameo (or cameo role) is a minor part played by a prominent performer in a single scene of a motion picture or a television play.
Thanks for the articles Annee and Gina. :)
Well... I do not think Ioan was amon the "arrested people" yesterday.
Indeed "crew" means "members NOT from the cast" I think TOO.
And Ioan is not a Tom Cruise, OK, still he is famous anyway.
They would have named him I think.
THANKS for those details Frances.
It's cool to learn about cinema.
Seems to me that we would have heard something by this time if Ioan had been involved in this 'event'. Actors will be actors,I guess...........
Very true, Ship. No sign of it. Thank goodness.
Doesn't sound like any involvement. A very good thing.
Whew! Now,why am I relieved?
Thanks God he´s not involved!!!
Behave Boyo!......Behave!
Thanks for the article An!
Let's see, was it last night---or the night before? On "Entertainment Tonight" they even quickly ran the mug shots of the five who were involved in the 'session' at the "Stray Cat"........a bit of a motley crew,I'd say!
From what it said on IMDB, it sounds like they were wrapping that night. There was mention of a racial slur being used against Jeffery Wright and others coming to defend him. It will be interesting to see the result. I suppose none looked too good at 2:00AM and celebratory drinking.
Yes, all the mug shots were definitely unflattering to say the very least.
Sounds like we haven't heard the last of this incident.
But I´m hoping we have GG!!! ;)
