Oh Marthe! I do hope you can find it. If not in a bookstore, see about ebay??? Not entirely sure how that works in other countries, but you could try. Hopefully you'll be able to find it at a store though. I can't imagine Belgium is all that "undeveloped"!

Hey Gnat, I've gotten into Chapter 6 of New Moon. I may get some more read today as I'm home with a cold. I was only scheduled to work 4 hours, but thought it was better to stay home and get better than to go to work and spread germs.
************************SPOILER WARNING*******************************************************
Yes, the Prom was very fun and the changes in Jacob and his warning from Billy are quite intriguing. I like Alice a lot, too. I'll have to go back now and look at the casting.
In New Moon, I've read through the Cullens decision to leave. I felt Meyers covered the devastation and numbness that comes from the shock of a break-up very well. What she did with the Chapter headings for the months after that were very effective. And the concept of her waking up from the numbness makes sense. I'm glad she didn't put the reader through excessive amounts of numb time.

Get Well Quick, GG!!!!! Hope the cold and sniffles don't hang around you very long! ---------- I've gotten up to about the middle of ECLIPSE at this point. Still enjoying it!!
Gaffer'sGirl- 09-27-2008
Wow, you are certainly outpacing me, even with being home yesterday and today. Just don't feel like doing much of anything. I did read some more last night and wrote a few scenes on my own work.

Girls I found the book, but it was not available. It is in reprint. So I suppose it is known and it is a yought-book.
I have ordered it. It will be available at the end of Oktober. So I still have to wait a month, grr :dunno
Gaffer'sGirl- 09-28-2008
Sorry for your delay on that, but at the speed I'm reading, you'll catch up with me quickly.
GNAT0629- 09-28-2008
Gaff - I'm sorry to hear of your cold! Get better soon sweetie! How are you feeling today?? I'm glad you're liking these books. Yes, Meyer did a great job with Bella's heartbreak. I actually cried when I read that part. You tend to get so involved in the character of Bella that you can't help but feel what she's feeling. And when Edward leaves her, you feel her pain. And yes the following blank pages are very effective.
Matie - Yay!!! Email me your thoughts - I'll be waiting....
Marthe - well at least you've got it on back order. I know that's an awful long time to wait to read this, but at least you know you'll be able to get a hold of it eventually. It'll be worth the wait I promise you!

Gaff, the story sounds very frightened. I can't wait to read it. And by seeing the pictures I can see the movie before my eyes. Very mistery and scary  :waaah:
But the pictures are again amazing. You are really a great photographer.
And Gaff take good care of yourself. Those summer-autumm colds are serious colds. :nurse
Shipmate- 09-29-2008
Love those pictures!!! They are adding depth to the story for me,GG. Hope you are feeling better. I'm in the book ECLIPSE now, where Bella is about to go into her graduation party. ---------------------------------------------------- Marthe, I hope you do read these books. They are so much fun! Think you will like them very much.
GNAT0629- 09-29-2008
Gaff - as usual thank you for the stunning visuals. I'm seeing the scenery so vividly in my mind now when I read these books. And I love the picture of the log on the beach! It did very much remind me of "Jacob and Bella's log". I'm glad you have these next few days off to rest and get over that nasty cold! Take lots of vitamins missy!!
Matie - things are a bit more interesting for Bella now aren't they??
Gaffer'sGirl- 09-29-2008
I'm glad you could see the resemblance to Bella and Jacob's log. So, I'm not the only one.
Lake Crescent is beautiful, but kind of eerie. First, it is very deep and it is glacier fed so it's quite cold even in the summer. But, the creepiest is that unlike most lakes, it is very clear. Even to fairly great depths, you can see the rocky bottom because no algae grows in the lake.
I'm still coughing so I'm taking it easy today.
GNAT0629- 09-30-2008
Gaff - that sounds eerie but incredibly cool! Take care of that cold girl! I hate that lingering cough. I'm still coughing up (not to sound too disgusting) stuff from my sinus infection from more than a month ago. It's like I'm still draining, but I don't feel it in my sinuses or nose. But I'm continually having to clear my throat from drainage. It's gross and annoying. :???:
Gaffer'sGirl- 09-30-2008
Gnat, I hope your's clears up, too. Mine almost always goes immediately to my lungs. My sinuses are not as much a problem. I'm just glad it's not both.
*****************************SPOILER WARNING***************************************************
Last night I made it through the section in Volturra. So, Bella and Edward are reunited. I would have read through to the end, but it was 2:00 in the morning and I couldn't keep going. I'll finish New Moon today and will pick up Eclipse. I'm going to share the series with my friend who went out to Forks with me. I think she'll enjoy it.
Lake Crescent is beautiful, but there is something in the air around there.
GNAT0629- 10-01-2008
Gaff - you know when I was younger everything always settled into my chest. I always had respiratory infections. But now it's all sinuses. I don't ever get respiratory infections anymore. It's always sinus headaches and sinus infections. Everything settles in there.
New Moon - yeah this part is my least favorite part of the entire series. Stephenie Meyer has this great ability to describe certain things with out a lot of detail, yet you feel the atmosphere of the situation. Much like the meadow scene in Twilight, she didn't have to get overtly sexual to make you feel that scene is incredibly intimate and erotic. Same thing goes with certain frightening aspects of these stories. She's very vivid without saying too much. If that makes sense. You'll see what I mean very shortly. What are your thoughts on Jacob and his secret? I found when Alice made Charlie tell her what Bella was like after the Cullens really heartbreaking too. I can't believe you stayed up so late reading!! Good for you!! Well, you should be taking care of yourself and resting but............
