So, my friends did you get a chance to see the movie? My friend and I went to the 5:20 show. It was fun in that while we were in line, we found ourselves parked right in front of Bella Italia. And yes, they were offering Mushroom Ravioli. Sadly in the movie, the restaurant was called The Stuffed Toad and it looked quite fancy for Port Angeles. PA is more of a working class town. Here's a poor pic of Bella Italia. It was raining and I didn't have a tripod.

While we were waiting a Seattle news cameraman came by. Then, we had someone from Bella Italia hand out a trivia quiz for prizes and Twillight Bookmarks dated with the old release date.
In the second book, Bella goes to the movies with Jacob and friends. So, here it is, the only theater in P.A. proper and the one we saw the screening at. Evidently, some girls drove from Redding, CA. to be there at the Midnight screenings last night. If it weren't eight miles from home, I wouldn't have made the attempt. I've gone to the Lincoln several times, but prefer Deer Park which is newer and a little closer to home. Here is the Lincoln in the heart of P.A.

We did make an attempt to eat at Bella Italia, but with no reservations on Friday night, forget it.
Overall, I thought it was well done considering the budget. Sure there were disappointments. The meadow scene in particular, but I know how difficult it is to condense something of the original size to a two hour script.
I'd love to have seen more of the peripheral characters - like Alice, but I understand why they couldn't. I'd like to hear the opinion from someone who didn't read the books.
