Now I'm positively curious about the new thread. Anyway, Max is really a great character and Happy Now a great movie.

Well, I finally got to enjoy the beauty that is Max Bracchi. Really enjoyed watching how Max figured out the mystery, but more important was watching the quirks Max and how they all fit together. Since I was a Bonanza fan growing up, I enjoyed how that fit into several aspects of the story. Now I'm officially another fan of Max.

May I join "The Posse" too?!! Met Max for the first time last night. Ooooooooooo, niiiccccce, quirky...but most definitely niiiccccce!--------I'm afraid I'm going to just HAVE to meet him a few more times in the future however, because my copy's audio is not the very best,.....and the Welsh accents, tho' beautiful, made it hard for me to get used to, and follow, the plot at times. BUT,.....I shall continue to "practice" my toothpick sucking, steely-eyed stare, and egg-timer setting techniques until I'm sure that Mr. Bracchi and I reach, shall I say,.......an "understanding"? Loved this film!

How's your coin-flipping, cowgirls? I loved the dark, mysterious air to this film. Pete the copper is playing in the Post office adds in UK at the moment and every time I see one, I smile mysteriously, to the annoyance of my kids! Also loving Richard Coyle (Joe) in Coupling at the moment. I've always wondered.......that line of ah, thingy's, "Are we going to have sex, 'cos i'm gasping for a fag?" Who thinks they did? Or have I got another cut version? :roll:

Nah, they didn't do it. Our Max is waaaaaaay too decent for that, (He is a Bonanza-kid! Pah Cartwright would not allow such behaviour :tsk tsk: Besides, her come-on was too much. I think he gracefully declined the offer. :cool:
