I have the Robin Hood book/tape (isn't ebay wonderful?) and it's a joy to listen to, GG - enjoy! :Robin:
I'm sure I shall enjoy it. I'll be listening while I'm packing my living room later today. Have to have some good memories about packing. Love your cute new icons.
:Robin: Be careful there,Maid Marian, with the packing---don't want to strain anything...............Love, The Duchess of Smooth
I'm having a hard time getting started today. I threw in a load aof laundry ad Gaffer ended up in my lap. He's scared of the washing machine. It's hard to sort or type or get anything done holding a ten pound Chihuahua.
I can see where that would present a problem. I'd like to know what he's thinking when the dreaded beast comes out. . . . . . . . . . . .
Well, I finally got Gaff out of my arms and listened to Robin Hood while sorting things. Must say that I loved his voices, very consistent and I could visualize the characters as he spoke. Made me wonder if he read each section straight through or if he did each character separately to keep in character and then the Producers edited it together. It did make the time pass quickly.
We don't have to be kids to enjoy a good story,do we?
No we don't a good story will always be a good story, especially if it is a classic and read so well.
Ah, I wish good actors were hired more often to read stories. It is so much easier to plunge into a story when it is well read/told.
If you look back on a post I made on this thread around the 27th of November, I mentioned that my niece is a Dramaturge at a San Francisco theater. The first production since she became permanent just got reviewed to very good results. I thought I'd share it below. Her name is not listed in the credits, but she has many responsibilities with getting the production developed and staged.

In fact, there is more than meets the eye in a screen or stage production and if movies or plays are successful, it is not only thanks to actors, directors and scriptwriters, but also to dozens of other (often uncredited) people.
I know she's really working very hard,GG. It takes an awful lot of elbow grease and huff-puff to pull off a good production. Much good luck to her!!! :thumbs up :applause:
Agreed, Frances! All credit to your niece, GG, and may Broadway beckon!
She would love Broadway one day, I think. Though she wasn't real fond of L.A. She may get the opportunity to do some acting, again. I know she's starting to audition now that she's finished her Master's degree.
