How is that coming along dear Gaff???

Gaffer'sGirl- 10-27-2008

Packing is slow and steady. As for moving, I should have a better idea after my days off. I've got some things to check out.

Ok. Here's an update on the Script front. My little re-write was finished in time to present the script to the Entertainment Lawyer/Producer who was vacationing nearby this weekend. She was already excited about the story. She read the script over the weekend. Last night, I got word that she loved the script, thought I was an excellent writer and is proceeding on to the next step of getting it ready to present to some people. It would be a long haul for the if and when it could become a production, BUT this was a huge hurdle. Realistically, for it to make it to production, it's a little like winning at Lotto. However, I do have cause to :happydance: My nephew also let us know on Thanksgiving that he is going to be on some episodes of The History Channel series AX MEN. Should screen in February. More good news for our family is that a niece is mounting her first production as afull time Dramaturge for a theater in San Francisco.

As always you ladies are a great support system. Thanks for the celebration. For my own version of Celebration I did a few things. I went to see Baz Lurhmann's Australia on Monday night. While there were some cliches to it overall it was very satisfying. It had an old time feel to it ( for some reason reminded me a bit of African Queen) with the great visuals Lurhmann always provides. He had his usual touch of classic music, nice performances by Kidman and Jackman. Some of my favorite Australian character actors and most important a wonderful performance by the young boy in it. Last night I went to the Buffet at Clearwater Casino and lost a little Milk Money. The friend I went with gave me an early Christmas gift - A tape of Robin Hood read by Ioan. She hunted it down on e-bay which I thought was very sweet. I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet, but will sometime today.

You're going to like it,GG! I promise. He sings in it a little, too!!!!!!!!! Enjoy! That was a thoughtful gift.

Gaffer'sGirl- 12-03-2008

Yeah, it was. I dragged her off to see Amazing Grace, The TV Set and W. She also took the pictures for me at the Coca-Cola Classic. She was more excited about seeing Chris Evans. She even had to figure out how to spell his name, so she gets extra credit.

GinaP- 12-04-2008

GG, Late to this thread, sorry. Congrats on the script. I hope it goes to the next phase. Thanks for sharing, GinaP

Gaffer'sGirl- 12-05-2008

Thanks, Gina. I hope it does, too.
