This thread doesn't BELONG here but...
This thread doesn't really BELONG here but I couldn't figure out exactly where it should go! So, Stevie, strike me out if need be, please!-------- I was channel surfing last weekend and all of a sudden whose handsome face went streaking past? YOU know who!!!!! WELLLLLL,I says, let's stop a while and enjoy the view!!!!----------It was the Disney Channel, and 102 DALMATIANS was playing. I hadn't seen it before, and since I was at my parents' house and both of them were napping, and the movie was already about half over anyway,------I stayed it out to the end.------------Someday, when Ioan sits his children on his knees and tells them about his accomplishments from days gone by, I'm sure he'll mention to them how he and Mommie met while filming this picture, how they fell in love, and how much fun they had making a film TOTALLY appropriate for the 6-12 year-old set!! It was (the second half, anyway) purely silly, sappy, and delightful kid fare all the way!-----------------And, that's exactly what one expects from the Disney folks for our children, right?!!----------------Ioan looked befuddled, Alice looked pretty, and Glenn Close looked very good baked in a cake!!!!!!(With "sprinkles" on top, too!!) I really wished I'd had a little kid watching with me , because the giggle aspect of things would have been fun to watch too. (Also enjoyed those short pants, Ioan!!!!)------Settle in with some little ones you love some evening, and a BIG bowl of popcorn, and see how much fun you can have curled up together on the couch with this one !!!!!
Where else would it belong, Matie? No worries! and you're absolutely right about the film - I am unashamed to say it's in my collection. Love the knees too :love2:
Hi, Shipmate: I've always thought the first half was better than the ending, so you might want to rent it sometime and see the whole thing. I always liked Ioan and Alice together in this, esp. the Lady and the Tramp dinner scene. (And the shorts, of course!)
FloMo
I'll be well-advised on that, Miss FloMo, thankx!
I agree with FloMo. The first part was my favorite and the Lady and the Tramp scene quite sweet. I love Ioan in the shorts, however Gerard Depardieu in short shorts - not so much. I just have a hard time reconciling that image :shock with the man from Le Retour de Martin Guerre, Cyrano, Camile Claudel, Green Card or even Le Chevre. Just can't do it.
GG
Hello everyone,
I have seen the film now probably about 20 times. My son loved it. He especially liked the credits and the opening and closing songs. He would rewind them for hours so as to memorize everyone's names. It would drive us all nuts: digga digga dog digga dog!
While the film certainly drags after the first half, my son just loved the scene of Cruella being baked in the cake. For years afterward he would say, "I'm going to bake you in a cake," when he got mad at you.
Not one of Ioan's best works, but certainly a lot of fun. He an AE did play nicely off one another (although it was obvious who was the better actor) and the Lady and the Tramp scene was pure Disney.
GinaP
I've seen this movie quite a few times, especially since when my nephew was born almost two years ago. It's certainly not one of Ioan's best work, but it is pure Disney and a good funny children movie.
Last time I saw this properly was in the cinema and I've always debated about buying it or not to add to my Ioan collection hmmm.
I'd buy it for Ioan's knees alone  .... The dogs are cute also :???: ... Parrot is nice  ... I like the first half of the movie :applaud:, but the end of the movie was a bit hysterical, too over the top,
Just a quick reminder why you should maybe not have spagetti on your first date  Speaking of adorkable..

Huge giggle factor, Sylviane! Couldn't you just hug him?
Lovely gnashers! Not so keen on the dog drool, though!

What's a little spit between friends? :happy
Hi Syl! Been missing you lately. Thanks so much for these cute pics. I did finally see the first half of the film, and the Lady & the Tramp scene was sweet, wasn't it? Do wish Ioan would wear more RED!!!!!!!!!!! He looks entirely fantastic in it! "Adorkable"?? I like that..................dog spit, no, don't like THAT............
