What do our American friends think of this blogger's comment....?
“The Golden Compass” star Dakota Blue Richards returns in yet another family-oriented fantasy heavy with frilly dresses and magickal bloodlines up the wazoo. Adapted from Elizabeth Goudge’s children’s book “The Little White Horse” by Gabor Csupo of “Bridge to Terabithia” fame, it has so far opened in the UK only, with no US release forthcoming (kinda iffy, consider that overtly UK-leaning fantasies don’t play too well in American multiplexes - remember “Stardust”???)

Weellllllllll,.....why don't they give us a try,and let us make up our own minds? (I wish the powers-that-be WOULD take it on a dare! That would be fine by me.)
I actually went to see Stardust and enjoyed it. The audience seemed to also.
Hello. I'm still struggling with my computers and my slow phone line. Pffffff
I hope you are doing well yoursleves.
Critics......BAAAAAH!!!!!!!
Seems not all bad news at the box office - the Koreans are impressed!
Meanwhile, market share commanded by foreign language films -- including Woo's "Red Cliff II" from China and "The Secret of Moonacre," set in Victorian England but made in Hungary -- rose nearly fourfold to 16.5% in January and February, up from 4.2% in the year-earlier period.

Glad to hear it is doing well there. Now Distributors, let's see how it does in the U.S. PLEASE!
Meanwhile, you can listen to Juliet Stevenson (Miss Heliotrope) playing all the characters in this BBC Audiotape of the original book!
But there is charm in abundance in this tale of the miracles you can work if only you spread a little love, and Stevenson's reading, sensitive and sure, is an absolute treat.

Thanks Stevie, I'll have to check it out. I really like Juliet Stevenson.
That sounds like it would be fun to listen to,doesn't it? Might be worth investigating some time. Thanks!
This Variety blogger lists Moonacre as a 'new film to be released'. As she's named Thompson on Hollywood, I wonder if she means a general US release? Sure hope so....
