I'll do a hunt for where I read it, but I know it was just a rumour, so fingers crossed!
Let's hope it remains a rumour and not reality. Maybe it's just that there is no announced date for release yet.
Ioan always seems a bit reticent to speak about future projects until they are set in stone. The fickleness of the industry and prehaps his experience starting back with Poldark has made him hesitant to invest a lot of emotion or hope in projects that haven't come out yet. Amazing Grace may have added to that. He has said he was very proud of it, but that interview makes it sound like there is some disappointment that it wasn't promoted more. Ioan certainly did his part with that movie. Maybe he will do the same with Moonacre closer to its release.
Could be that recent interview was set up to co-incide with W. Since his part in that is much smaller than originally planned, the interview became more about him.
"Indeed he almost forgets to tell me about his upcoming children’s movie, The Secret of Moonacre, where he plays the wicked uncle."
Indeed, despite quite a bit of other publicity, there seems to have been nothing from Ioan himself about the film. I'm hoping this will change as we near the release date?
I hope so, too. I can't forget that The Secret of Moonacre is not set to hit theatres for about another three months even in those countries who already have a release date, so it is understandable that actors have not been heavily involved in its promotion yet, IMHO, especially considered that The Secret of Moonacre didn't have the huge budget that movies like FF, for instance, allowing to start a full-fledged promotion much in advance of its release date. Well, we will see what happens after Christmas. :dunno
Alright,Ladies! I've calmed down now......but,let's hope that we get a US showing date!!!!!!! I'd be SO disappointed otherwise......and I read the book, and everything..........(bottom lip stuck waaaaay out in a pout)....
This is not about Ioan, but an interesting interview with the composer of the music for SoM, Christian Henson.

Can't wait to listen to that music score. It sounds perfect for the content and purpose of the film.
Mmmm, agreed! I love the score for King Arthur, too - very moody and/or rousing.....
Oh yes! King Arthur music and the Hornblower music just swell the emotions in my soul.
The following listing has a variety of trailers for Ioan's movies, but right at the top is a nice, newly released (I think)interview with Ioan about his role. My! My! My! He looks good. Can't wait to see this one. Sounds like a fun role for him and nice eye candy for us. I enjoyed the book, so I hope and think the story has the possibility of being very enchanting.

Thank you for that GG. What a great find! This looks like something to really look forward to at last. I really hope that it does well when it's released. :applaud:
Well, if there's anything in the power of Hope, Red, then there's enough emitted from here to send it stratospheric!!!!!
