Nice blog entry. Thanks for sharing, Annee. I find it interesting how the author mentions that her children know Ioan from 102 Dalmatian and FF, while she had no idea who he is before AG. I guess that it is a hint that it can be good that Ioan was in projects as different from each other as FF and AG that appeal to different audiences, therefore potentially reaching many people with his performances.

He really does come across differently in each of his roles, doesn't he, Frances? The sign of a good actor. Not everyone pays as close attention to actors as we do and those are the people who (when they finally recognize him) comment on how varied his performances are. Some mannerisms may crop up several places, but the characters are quite different.

I enjoyed this blog from Ryan and thought of sharing. For some reason I had it in my head that this was about the guy who wrote the hymn. It took Amy and I several weeks to finally pop this one from Netflix in, but once we did we discovered a really wonderful film. The story of William Wilberforce and the era in which he strove to abolish the slave trade from England are compelling and fascinating, and Michael Apted and his team put together a very polished production. The cast was wonderful, full of familiar faces like Michael Gambon, Rufus Sewell (in a rare non-villain role), Ioan Gruffudd, and Albert Finney. Ioan looked so familiar but I couldn't place where I'd seen him. Turns out he was Mr. Fantastic. Well, I haven't seen either F4 movie, but he was indeed fantastic (a ha! a ha! a ha ha ha!) in Amazing Grace. I'm glad Amazing Grace was the first movie I had seen him in. http://agadoni.blogspot.com/2008/09/recent-movies-amazing-grace-darjeeling.html
