Soaking in sweat...
I feel like I'm living in a tropical climate... Luckily, Sunday will be the first day of my holidays and I'm leaving to Paris. I won't disappear from IZ though, as I will still have a computer and an internet connection to visit here.

Have fun in Paris, Frances. We have been extremely hot, too. And on the humidity and it's very uncomfortable. Seattle hit 103 F. yesterday. The hottest it's ever been here. We are not quite that hot, but I was glad I wasn't working yesterday.

Temperature has been in the mid-90s F all week here, which is not uncommon for the summer, but it is the humidity that made it very uncomfortable. I read that it is overcast and temperature is around 75 F in Paris... I can't wait to be there...

Have a wonderful vacation! Oh the temperatures here are sky high again, not as much as 10 days ago when we had around 43 degrees Celsius but still hot around 38-39. Thankfully we have air-condition in one room so it is little bearable.

Wauw Gaff, that is very hot. I heard it on the news that the nord-west of America had a heatwave which was not normal. Frances mid-90s F is also warm enough and like you say, the humidity is the problem. But I think it is warmer in Paris. Yesterday we were in the North of France in the area of Cap Gris Nez and Cap Blanc Nez and it was very warm, I think 83 F. In Belgium it was also so warm. Today it should be the same, but I see we have more clouds and it is going to rain this evening and tomorrow and it will be colder. But for next week, there will be a heatwave in the second part of the week. But Frances, il will certainly not be so warm I suppose like in Italy, so enjoy your stay in Paris. Perhaps you can visit Belgium. I think I live about 250 km from Paris.

Amazing how long the wait and how quickly they disappear.

I am waiting for holidays at the moment, i am going to my homecountry germany for a week. I will go by ship, cause i don`t like flying too much....i am a bit confused at the moment and exited....cause i am actually always at home (if i don`t work, what i do usually a lot at the moment) and then comes this big travel and i go all alone....i am almost a bit panicking, like: is there enough money....do i find everything...where do i have to go.....do you understand? When i was young, i did lots of crazy, spontan things. but now i am an old coward ;-)

I wish you wonderful holidays, Hope. I think I worry more traveling now than I did when I was younger and my car is much better. I guess with age comes caution. I just make a decision to travel despite my fears. I don't think any of the fearful thinkgs I've ever imagined has come true. I hope you can relax and enjoy your trip back to Germany. When do you leave?

Hope I wish a a good trip to Germany and do not panic. Enjoy every minute. And I am like you, I do not like flying, I also prefer the ship. In fact that is my dream, making a long trip by ship. I wish I could be in your place.
