Signature Size
Sorry to curb anyone's creative talents, but could we revise all siggie pics to be no larger than 12x4.5 cm. This is to prevent them detracting from posts and to save bandwith. I would appreciate if sig pics could be omitted when posting to threads that require very short answers like Storyline and Game-o-rama. Also Look Who's Talking.
(You can choose not to include your sig directly under your post before you send it.)
Thankyou for co-operating,
Stevie

Sorry. I've deleted my post because when I asked people to check their sigs against the above size limit I was actually thinking of another forum. This message board is actually really good about signature size. :applaud: My connection speed lately could be labeled "fast snail". Maybe I myself need to become more like a fast snail and take it down a notch.
A timely reminder! Thanks, muvidlover! Rulers out everyone and measure those siggies. I'll be checking shortly.......

Hi Stevie. Please see my edited post above! My bad. I can't even use the excuse that "I'm hormonal" anymore.
So that would make pictures not bigger then 135 x 300 pixels. This might make it easier in stead of searching for your ruler and make it faster resizing
Muvidlover, your signature shows up on my screen as being 5.5 x 19.2 cm. (I wouldn't mind the size of your siggie though.. More Matthew/Luke to put in there.
Strangely my own size I've always used for this site is approx 455x170 pixels, which comes close to your numbers. Don't know why that has changed.
 this is confusing. :dunno

Yes it is. Maybe it has something to do with what resolution our monitors are set at. Mine is 1280 x 800 pixels. What's yours?
Btw, your sig shows up at 7.7 x 3.5 cm on my screen at 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and 12 x 4.5 cm with 800 x 600 pixel resolution.
So Stevie, is my Armitage too large for those people with a lower res?
Mine is 1024x768. And yes there is a difference, if I set my monitor to your setting everything becomes smaller.
I think the key may be to adjust the pixels to get within the target size in cms. If anyone needs help doing this, I'm sure plenty of our members would be happy to help. Just post a request in the Techno Zone.

rulerHere's a handy dandy ruler for measuring graphics in centimeters, pixels, picas or inches. It can be rotated, lengthened and dragged over to your graphic. Really a cool computing aid.

It's a free download
HERE.
Thanks, Muvidlover. This is a really handy tool.
