Saw the movie...
It was really great :mrgreen: Just got in from the midnight show. Very happy I went. Ioan was super "fantastic" :cool:

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I won't get to see it until the weekend as I work tomorrow night. Unless it's not playing at our local theater, then I'd have to wait until next week. I'll just have to endure. Sometimes living in rural area isn't so nice. GG

The only reason I was going to see this is for Ioan. However, I jsut scanned a few reviews and it is, apparently, better than the original!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!

Me, too, Lavinia! It does sound like it's getting a better reception than the first (although that bar was set pretty low). Glad you got to see the first showing, JeepGirl83! How would you compare it to the original? FloMo

I already have my tix for tonight!!! I'm so excited! Lavinia I've been reading the same thing over at Yahoo. The overall viewers average rating of the movie was a B (which is very good). And most people are saying it's WAAAY better than the first. They say the FX are incredible! I so can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got in from seeing it! IT WAS AMAZING! It was incredibly funny. The characters so much better developed then the first. The storyline was brilliant and he ending had me laughing. Ioan did a wonderful job with Reed. He made him strong, but not too strong. He made him intelligent without looking snobbish. His play with emotions were so compelling. YOu felt his love for Sue just roll off the screen and in your heart. Chris did a great job as well. He made Johnny even more lovable with his sad puppyblue eyes and his rang of emotions for the character. I can't say enough good things about the film.

What a ride. See it on the biggest screen with the best sound you can find. It was quite a ride. There were a few moments that I laughed ... probably inappropriately. One particular scene almost reduced me to a giggling blob sliding out of my chair. We were sitting behind two complete rows full of comic book geeks. Their comments were funny ... one stated it was better than Spiderman III. I haven't seen SP3 so I can't say whether I agree or not. It's better than the first FF. The Silver Surfer stole the show! BTW --- looking at the credits I noticed a position for the special effects called "Data Wranglers" ... the mental imagine is rather amusing. So what, exactly, do Data Wranglers do? And do they do it on horseback?? :happy

I just wanted to check in,I just got back from seeing the movie for the second time. I loved the movie and thought Ioan did a wonderful job.

I'm just back home from seeing this movie and I thing it was GREAT, much better than the first. The characters are better developed and the storyline brilliant. I liked Ioan's performance: they made him stronger, but leaving a nerdish and goofy touch to the character. I laughed at many Johnny-Ben exchanges.

Well, I saw FF 2 for a second time with my sister. I then rented FF 1 and it was real good, but the second movie is a lot better all around. Like all ready mentioned, the characters were much more defined and the storyline was thrilling. Both films are great but FF 2 gets my vote!
