If you are serious about working for a celebrity, send your resume to a talent agency or an institution producing or organizing shows? If you really wish to become a celebrity, why don't you enroll in, for instance, an acting school? BTW, I don't know where you live, but would you be open to move to another town or even country to work for a celebrity or become a celebrity, Annee? It is not always possible to do so by telecommuting.

Yes, I think the best chance to work for a celebrity would be by joining a company that 'services' them in some way (production, publicity, etc). Do you live anywhere near a large city where they may be based? The problem with trying hard to get noticed or employed by any given celebrity is the danger of being thought a stalker. The key is to ask yourself (as with any job) "What can I offer this person that others can't? Why should he employ me, rather than the next person?" if you have a good answer to those questions, then go for it! Otherwise it may be better to focus on something other than celebrity, if it's making you unhappy, and make your own life more fulfilling another way. What is your present job, annee?

The problem with trying hard to get noticed or employed by any given celebrity is the danger of being thought a stalker. The key is to ask yourself (as with any job) "What can I offer this person that others can't? Why should he employ me, rather than the next person?" if you have a good answer to those questions, then go for it! And the fun part is that not only you risk of being thought a stalker if trying hard to get noticed or employed by any given celebrity, but you also are very likely to never be able to really approach them, as communications (at least if we are talking about celebrities and not wannabes) have to go through their agents/managers, who are likely to trash/file away letters and emails without forwarding them, unless they are from someone they know, someone introduced by someone that they know, or about something their clients told them they are interested in. So I think that it is unlikely that you managed to be directly and personally contracted to work for a celebrity. The closest you can reasonably get is to work for their production company, if they have one, and it is the production company that you have to contact to see if they may hire you. Otherwise it may be better to focus on something other than celebrity, if it's making you unhappy, and make your own life more fulfilling another way. This a personal remark, but I wonder whether working for a celebrity is really very different from or more exciting than working anywhere else, or whether it may turn out to be just a job like another. I don't know if you are able to share the glamorous life that you think celebrities live when you work for them.

This a personal remark, but I wonder whether working for a celebrity is really very different from or more exciting than working anywhere else, or whether it may turn out to be just a job like another. I don't know if you are able to share the glamorous life that you think celebrities live when you work for them. Since I worked directly with celebrities only on rare occasions during my 14 years of video production, I found it fun and exciting. But my boss (who was an actor before he became involved on the camera side) and many of the camera operators I knew worked with them pretty frequently and whether or not it was fun depended on the celeb they were taping. Ultimately it was work like any other with things you like doing and things you don't. I'm sure it is the same for Celebs after all, as my Boss used to say, they put their pants on one leg at time like the rest of us. Ok. That was the polite version, I won't repeat what he really said.

I decided to post it here as it's somehow connected to my job and I did not want to open another thread. Please Keep Me In Your Thoughts. :) As you may know, I: * Tried to work as a part Ioan's Stuff - Nay * Proposed just in case Helen Mirren, Jessica Alba, Sienna Miller, <...> wanted to be replaced at events - Nah * Asked RAI - Italian Radio TV if they need someone (no showgirls, of course: all the seats are taken) to find curiosities, to contact people, to carry-book meals, <...> - No So now... I'll try my luck as a cleaner! Please Keep Your Fingers Crossed With Mine! Thanks. :)
