Just when you think noting bad can come my way guess again. My dad is in the hospital he was taken there on Sunday night for some chest pains. On Monday morning was little bit better doctors said it wasn't heart attack and should be released during the day. But when I went back to the hospital to pick him up he was transferred back to intensive care unit. No visitation are allowed just a minute or so. Doctors yesterday said that there is no indication of heart attack according to the ekg testing and x-rays of his lungs are in good state. He did have high temperature of 39 degrees Celsius. So they though it is some kind of flue.
But his blood pressure is very low : 60/40 yesterday.
We were told this morning that it is still bit low but not as much. I will know more when we get to the hospital. My fathers sister is going with me.
I am again out of my mind. I am home alone .

I'm sorry Selma.
I hope your father is doing well now, God bless him.

Thank you! He is in ICU and I was able to just see him briefly. Haven't talked to the doctors yet but from what nurse told my aunt he had very low blood pressure which led to his heart to stop for a second. But was ok later. They are giving him I.V. infusion to elevate the blood pressure and he is having therapy of some drugs doctors prescribed. His usual blood pressure usually is a lower then normal values. He could be released tomorrow from intensive care so I can visit him, don't know yet for sure. When I went to visit him today he waved and seemed bit better than yesterday. He said something briefly which was encouraging.
My dad hes been a heart patient for 5 years now from when he had heart attack. Just 5 months previous his heart attack my dad's brother died of it unexpectedly. And from what I know people who survived the heart attack are a bit more in fear of it happening again. Nowadays it is most common diseases, but especially here because of what people been through during the war. It can happen to people all ages and sexes. If treated properly and in time chances for recovery is higher.

WarriorSelma- 04-10-2009
Oh dear friends, thank you so much for your support. Dad is a way better that he was on Monday afternoon, his blood pressure has stabilized. There was no heart attack. He is still in the hospital for some testing for his white blood cells. I don't know whether are high or low. We will see after the weekend.
And me? I am so not Okay, I got big depression coming over me from time to time. I hate this damn place! Sometimes I wish I never was born.
Frances- 04-10-2009
Selma, I'm glad to hear your father is better and hope the tests he is undergoing won't reveal anything serious.
I can understand how you can feel depressed, as you had to live through too much in too little time. Do you have someone you can talk with about your feelings? :hug
marthe- 04-12-2009
Selma, like Frances said, it is very necessary to talk to someone when you have a depression. That is a very serious thing. So do not hold up your feelings. Talk about it. I wish you a lot of strenght.
Shipmate- 04-14-2009
