Old, But, um, Interesting Ioan Pics
Blimey! No-one told me Ioan was in Night of the Living Dead (or was this taken the morning after his 21st birthday, when he wreaked drunken carnage on the Strand with a broom?)

Maybe it's all that awful shade of AQUA!!!!! Ewwww!

Just a wee bit peaked looking in that picture. Though I must say worse still is that series when he is in a brown suit and so overlit or something that he looks like a pasty mannequin. One of the few times, well apart from the goldenrod pants where he is dancing, that I don't like. In The TV Set commentary, they comment on how hard it is to make Ioan look discheveled. They must have really misfired to make him look bad.

You know the pictures of him that I dislike most? And THOSE are very few and far between,but it's those where he's made up to look kind of Gothic-----Punk Rock----Heavy make-up, too much jewelry,ghoulish. Nonono.....didn't cut it with me on those. And the HAIR, NAAAAHHH........no way. Does anyone know the ones that I mean?

I agree with Shipmate. I think this pics would look much better without that Aqua shade. You know the pictures of him that I dislike most? I know the ones you mean and they are the pics of Ioan I dislike most, too. Really? I have to disagree. They were different from the standard plastered smile and ´look-how-cute-my-Hornblower-look-still-is´ type of pictures and I found them daring and very unusual. Definitely not ugly. I would not hang on my wall as it is not my taste, but were not bad pictures from a photographical point of view. If we are talking about the same pictures he looked like a very young Keith Richards. Wasn´t this one of them?

I love those pictures Shipmate! I think they are fantastic, it's a sort of photoshoot we haven't seen Ioan do before and I think the look really works. I think it's a rather artistic shoot and I am a fan of it. Maybe the picture you posted Stevie is one of Ioan's 'late bloomer' examples. :wink: I still think that damn shower picture is the worst! My god I hate it!

Nah, that must be the one where AE dressed him or something. I remember vaguely something in fluorescent colors (green and purple?) It just hurt your eyes looking at them. That's also why I don't really remember them. :razz: I needed too dark sunglasses and cannot remember what the rest of the pic looked like. :happy

I agree that one can appreciate the artistic merit in something without actually liking it. (think of the Old Masters) and I'm afraid I don't like that paticular look on Ioan, though his appeal does shine through. As for the shower pic, well I do like that one and not just for the 'obvious' reasons. I adore the soulful expression, but then I'm one of a minority who thinks he looks cute in BHD! :wink:

I'll step up in appreciation of the shower picture. I'm kind of getting accustomed to the shorter hair on Ioan. AG shows him with it rather often, and the look is kind of growing on me gradually.

While the Rock/Punk pictures are not among my favorites, I can see that Ioan looks good in them. And the shower picture, well let's just say :cold shower 1 :faint . I think the ones Syl is refering to with the fluorescent colors are the disco sort of ones that I really don't like.

Are you talking about this, GG? or the orange (or was it lime green?) trainers, which I (fortunately!) don't have a pic of! Anyway, talking about sartorial elegance...... :thud (thumbnail)
