... the orange (or was it lime green?) trainers, which I (fortunately!) don't have a pic of!
I have a vague memory of something in terribly obnoxious green color. I thought fluorescent green, because it reminded me of a 'highligher pen' that you can use in your text books, but lime green might do it. And the top was also some obnoxious color (purple?)

The one I was thinking of - he is full length, modeling some clothes as they were posed and like he is dancing and snapping his fingers trying to look cool. Bright, bright colors and at the time when he looked extra thin, so his legs looked very long and very short waisted with where the waistline of the pants hit. There may have been a 3/4 length jacket involved in some of them. Just never liked the look.
But I think the pasty mannequin pictures were worse. He looked ill. Needless to say I didn't save either of them.

Stevie,,surely don't mind either of the pix above for my taste. Lookin' good, Gruffudd!----------------------I think I know the one(s) you mean,Syl and GG, Not on my list of favorites either. I thought of another one ------ The one where Ioan is wearing a turtleneck sweater, and the neck is pulled up so that only his eyes are showing ------the eyes showing is fine, but his HAIR looks funny in that one!

I think I know which pic you are talking about, Syl and GG... not my favourite look either...
I quite like the second (or third, if we consider the one you started this thread with) you posted, Stevie.
One that I've always found both sweet and funny is this:

Ahh.................that second pic Stevie says...............I just loved my Warriors camouflage soooooooo much! Mmm...........(strokes chin) But it needs a slightly more metro touch............ah, ....... .loose (unfrilly) white shirt should do nicely!
Like the cuppa tea one Frances .........interesting composition!

I actually like this pic. It's different and daring. I wouldnt want this look on him all the time but for a photoshoot I think it works.
I know the ones you mean and they are the pics of Ioan I dislike most, too.
Really? I have to disagree. They were different from the standard plastered smile and ´look-how-cute-my-Hornblower-look-still-is´ type of pictures and I found them daring and very unusual. Definitely not ugly. I would not hang on my wall as it is not my taste, but were not bad pictures from a photographical point of view. If we are talking about the same pictures he looked like a very young Keith Richards.
Wasn´t this one of them?

France, I like the cup of tea shot, too. His hair kind of looks like they styled it to look bed head. Cute!

Ah, he's doing "The Hornblower"! Remember that series in Talking pics?
Such a laugh, maybe it was Gerdie who started that?
If you keep an open eye, you'll find a lot of pics with his hands behind his back.
I always imagine it's to quell that fidgety thing he does when his character's emotion is in full flow (witness, the scene in S&G when Gaenor goes to his home for the first time...."Why didn't you tell me?")
Loving the 'Hornblower' memory of Talking Pics, Fishie! :hug

Now that you mention it, he DOES do the hands behind the back thing frequently, doesn't he? Also the ever-present "hands in pockets" stance!!! Ah, Frances, I like the coffeecup pic. Kind of a "first-thing-yawning-in-the-morning" look. Cute!
Gaffer'sGirl- 11-16-2007
Add to that list - one hand on top of the other when he's seated or in front of a table.(except the cup o' tea). He does seem to try and control flying hands. Though I must say I find those little tics very cute or as Syl would say "adorkable".
Frances- 11-16-2007
I wonder whether Ioan not knowing what to do with his hands (so he puts them behind his back, in his pockets, or one on top of the other) has to do with shyness. :hmm:
StevieT- 11-16-2007
He does use his hands alot when he talks. As someone who also does this and has been 'commented on' for it, I wonder if he has become acutely aware of it, so tries to contain it (I don't, I think it's the sign of an expressive person.)
Shipmate- 11-16-2007
Whatever it is, he just wouldn't be quite the same without all of it.
Silvia- 12-03-2007
Well ....... I don´t know about you guys but my favourite is this one......
Classy and elegant Ioan......
