Lots of stuff has been happening. First, my sister had an stimulator put on her Occipital nerve for her headaches (part of a study) and it seems to be working (we were all hopeing that she would be part of the group that got theirs turned on and not in the plecbo group) So I have my sister back after 5 years of suffering cluster migraines she seems to be doing fine. I managed to get a part time job at Michaels arts and crafts. This will take some of the pressure off me for money when my student loans come due in August. Its a hard job, I am on the early morning replishment teams and I have discovered muscles that disintegrated since I have left Walden's and became a student and haven't A) been on my feet all day and B) lifting stuff. I also have to be aware of the time so I have had to forgo my usual pocket watch for a wrist watch. Oh, how I HATE wrist watches. They are to me that elven rope is to Gollum. IT BOTHERS US. Its an ADD toy as well. All I do is play with the damn thing since it bothers us and makes little marks on my skin and look at the time ALL the time. WE HATTTTESSSSSS IT. NASSSSTY little WRISSSST watch. Blah. My mother just celebrated her birthday and is not happy. "People used to look at me as I passed (my mother is very pretty) and now look at me!" Its mostly because she bent over because of her back. However, I pointed out that I was glad I still had my mother since she had LIED to me about how bad her cancer was about 9 years ago. She was in stage 4 of a very aggressive form of Non Hotchens Limphoma. And she lamented her neck. Now she was old lady neck apparently. I didn't say "well, what did you expect? You have gotten old---er" Old age come to a precious few. But the unfortate thing is my mother has always been a bit vain and always put more stock in looks that anything else. Which is why it took us so long to bond. I am the opposite. I don't mind my gray hair or my sags here and there. I mind that I am fat (215 lbs) and it affects my breathing and my gracefulness like being able to walk up a flight of stairs without passing out. Hopefully being on my feet again will take some of the extra weight I gained being a student off my and my legs won't hurt as much and I will back on my way to losing some more weight and get down to a reasonable number like 150 or so. So that's the story morning glories! Now that I am in the general public at large and around heavy equipment and sharp objects I am sure I will have some death by dorks for you in no time. mim
