Moonacre Music
One of the songs from Moonacre is now available to download for those of you with an ipod (an invaluable piece of my sanity-saving kit these days!).
The whole film score is available in March. I enjoyed the music from the film - whimsical at times, but fun and the idea of a lullaby version is an appealing one.....

Alas, I am far behind the times. Though I see a lot of IPods head out the door at work, I have yet to buy one. and don't see it happening inthe near future. One can hope a CD will be released. Yeah! Right. Just like we'll get to see this in the U.S. Guess I better go research those IPods. Maybe at some point they'll have downloads of some kind for Moonacre. Then, see me run to the store.
Well, GG at least CDs are region free, so I can always send you one in March! Hope is not lost........
I'll download the lullaby and let you know how it sounds (probably best not to play it on the way to work, though - I'd fall asleep and miss my stop! )
That would be wonderful. I have to look for the book on Amazon, too. I read The Little White Horse, but a Moonacre version would be nice to have.
I have to join the "iPod-less" group as well,I'm afraid too. I'll hope for a CD along with you,Gaff. (Wishful thinking probably but I'll still try!) Would like to hear it too...................
This is a good review of the Moonacre score......
The score's "Opening Titles" start rather ominously, but quickly build to epic orchestral/choral heights, before taking on something of a dream-like quality with solo female voice, piano and flutes. The playful "The Journey to Moonacre" follows, complete with finger snaps and and what sounds like a bit of Bavarian thigh slapping thrown in. Things take a darker turn with the brief action of "Robin Attacks," giving way to the serene "Arrival at Moonacre," the magical quality continuing in "Into the Book," ......
