Here's the BBC Wales take on the matter....... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7549086.stm annee - your later link was identical to mine

Thanks for the links girls! Matthew was present at the Chairing of the Bard ceremony in the pavilion later this afternoon. The camera caught him a few times. In this last clip he is singing 'Land of Our Fathers'. (clickable pics)

Also, an interview with BBC/Wales yesterday... http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/eisteddfod2008/mediaexplorer/?set=wales_today&type=video&id=news_iau7_matthew_rhys Hope this player works for you! I can't watch it!!!! :weeping :crying Other than that thanks ladies. It is great to see Matthew in the picture like this. I hope you don't mind, muvidlover, but I've downloaded your pics so I can show them on the Brothers & sister site. If you object. let me know, I will take them off again.

Thanks for the links to the pictures and sites, Muvidlover, Stevie and Annee. I couldn't watch the videos either. I tried to see some of the other performances, but they wouldn't come up. Ioan's sister is a beautiful, young woman. It's nice she was able to attend. Now that it appears that Welsh boy wasn't there, could he be off working on a new project or auditioning. Maybe just playing a big wingding for Math when he gets back. :Wales Congrats to Matthew Rhys. :Wales

The link that StevieT gave at the top of this page also has a short video-clip. I hadn't seen it earlier.... Gee, old age has really struck me. :wall:

. Gee, old age has really struck me. :wall: Join the club, Syl, join the club! (And I posted that link with you in mind, too!)

Gaffer'sGirl- 08-08-2008

Just saw it now. Thanks.

No problem with sharing Matthew, Sylviane. As for the BBC videos... sometimes they use BBC Media Player version 2.3.3887 as in the article Stevie posted above (thanks Stevie!). That's the good one they use when they feel like sharing with everyone. :applaud: When they use version 2.3.4152b the vids are exclusive. :tsk tsk: For instance, I'd really like to watch and hear the Eisteddfod winners, but since they are using the latter version I'm not allowed. Oh whine :wall:

For instance, I'd really like to watch and hear the Eisteddfod winners, but since they are using the latter version I'm not allowed. Oh whine :wall: So, basically, making a promotional clip about an annoyed Matthew and Ioan who cannot watch the Eisteddfod in LA :shake pc: , would have been closer to the truth? :happy

:rotf: Sylviane!

Shipmate- 08-09-2008

 It's me again. GG, I found the still pictures with Matthew and Ioan's sister. She IS a very pretty lady. It's good someone from Ioan's family could be there for Matthew, since he couldn't make it. ------------------------------------------BIG THANKS to all of you ladies who posted all these nice news items for us !!

Gaffer'sGirl- 08-09-2008

I'm pretty sure he just used Ioan as his bardic name with no additions as far as I remember.
