The translation that was given to us was:

And it doesn't make any sense. Did something get los in translation? It is unclear. The answer in Italian is a full sentence, but in the English translation it isn't.

Perhaps, the word that you are looking for to translate that "troppo" is "excessive". I wonder which the exact words were that Luke used to express this concept.

Annee translated it close to 'excessive'. I didn't read the original interview, only the draft on Luke Macfarlane's site.

Actually, the sentence in Italian doesn't make much sense and leaves you wondering "He's too what?", "He can be too much of what?", or "In which sense he is too much?". My guess is that what Luke said originally was kind of "he can be excessive/exaggerated, " or "he can exaggerate."
