Love in the 21st Century
Just wondered if anyone in the UK has the Virgin Media service. 'Cause, according to it, it has Love in the 21st Century on its TV on demand service and according to the IMDB, Ioan was in one of its episodes. Was exactly is his episode like? I'm only 15 and it has a 15/18 rating. How bad is it exactly? Is it too bad to be put on this forum?

Right, ok, was determined not to be the first to have to explain this but... Ioan's episode in Love in the 21st Century is about....it's about...well it's about masturbation. There, I said it! So, you can make up your mind from that, I know I have. No, I haven't got it! :tsk tsk: Perhaps those who have seen it can give, er... more info on how much this concentrates on taboo! :shock

Yey!  :mex.wave: Finally, I can put the whole ugly Battlestar Galactica incident behind me( :censored  ) and have cause to praise Virgin Media! Going to check it out, right now!!!!!!!

You should be ashamed of yourself, Stevie! :cold shower 1 Hope your kids aren't around when you watch it! :hide

I'm still in two minds about watching it. I've got two options: don't watch it or hit the mute and fast forward at certain bits. I'm still surprisingly innocently minded although PSHE lessons have kind of explained what that is all about. I might not watch it...I don't know

You should be ashamed of yourself, Stevie! :cold shower 1 Hope your kids aren't around when you watch it! :hide My son is a sixteen year old boy: I think he's probably an expert on the subject! By the way, I've just watched it (and recorded it!). Despite the subject matter, I loved it. It's actually quite an interesting tale about human relationships and insecurities. Ioan is adorable in the role of Jack (he so suits that name) - it's one of my favourite tousle-haired, wide-eyed, passionate Ioans. I give it four stars.

Yes Stevie, Ioan is absolutely adorable in this role. I mean how could you get mad at him. He is so good at playing honest, likeable and is just plain cute. Of course the end is a little twist which makes you really think about relationships. I could also understand his accent throughout all of this. There were a few times during Happy Now and Another Life that I couldn't say that or had to re-play a scene. Must say my Ioan fest week is going well. Half my family has borrowed Amazing Grace and The TV Set. I'll make it so they know his name yet.

Hey StevieT if you still have the episode is there any chance that you could please upload it?

StevieT- 01-16-2008

I'm sorry, Queenie, but it didn't tape and is no longer on the On Demand service. But don't give up! I'm sure it'll come around again (whoops! Unfortunate choice of words! :tsk tsk: ) I'll keep my eye out for it!

Thank you StevieT :) Is everybody up in Newcastle partying about King Keegan's return?

StevieT- 01-17-2008

You bet! I still remember being in town when he left last time and people were actually crying in the street! (We take things to heart up here and make a big thing of loyalty!) What area are you in, Queenie?

Queen_of_Meh- 01-17-2008

I'm in Lincoln at the moment for Uni but originally I'm from Weardale in County Durham, so while I'm not a proper Geordie I do have some idea how much of a religion the Toon are. A mate of mine is a big, big Newcastle fan...

StevieT- 01-17-2008

Ah, so you're a 'plastic Geordie'! Actually, I'm a Londoner myself, but was married to a Geordie (by the true definition - born within spitting distance of the Tyne!) and have been up here for 35 years (25 in Newcastle) I went to school in Sunderland and also lived in Durham City for six years. Now i live among the ex-shipyards on the banks of the Tyne. Weardale is such a beautiful place!
