Ioan : "Yes, I am trained in the classical school of Finger Acting...." "But sometimes it's too much for Alice!"

rox_fox- 10-20-2007

"Hi, my name is Ioan Gruffudd and it's spelled liked this and this is my impression of the Hokey-Pokey" LOL, Sylviane! :applaud:

Shipmate- 10-20-2007

Wasn't there a song years ago called "Hand Jive"? Suits Ioan very well, I think! Nice job,Ladies!

Sylviane- 10-20-2007

I had "Hand Jive" in mind, but was not sure if everybody would know it. I saw it in "Grease" (I believe) and only later found out that it was a real song. Then a lot here may also not know about the Hokey-Pokey, I also considered "The Macarena" or "the Ketchup song", but than people from America/Australia would maybe not recognise and I was not even sure if that last song was a hit outside Holland. Allthough I thought it was European summer-hit... :?: :rotf: , Stevie, Good one! Ioan : "Yes, I am trained in the classical school of Finger Acting...." How does he practise? :naughty

Gaffer'sGirl- 10-20-2007

Great job, Stevie. Very apropos. Ioan's hands and fingers seem to be his (well used) trademark. Ketchup song :?: That's a new one for me. The Hokey-Pokey worked well and The Macarena :happy would have been funny, too. Just a little dorky (like Ioan seems to be sometimes).

Shipmate- 10-20-2007

Haven't heard of the Ketchup Song. I love Ioan's hands, those long slender fingers, very artistic-looking.........(I'm thinking some other stuff too, but would have to go the "Alley" for THAT!!!) Hahahaha! "Dorky" at times, yes! But endearingly so!!

Sylviane- 10-20-2007

The ketchup-song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFzyYYZsxGc I vaguely recall there being two different version on the market at the time. Not that it mattered, because I hated both of them. In my memory the radio would play that song say every 10 minutes. :angry2: And for the 'oldies' amongst us, If the words of the chorus sound familiar they were ripped from the start of the song ''Rapper“s delight" from the Sugar Hill gang (1979)

I vaguely recall there being two different version on the market at the time. Not that it mattered, because I hated both of them. In my memory the radio would play that song say every 10 minutes. :angry2: Yep, I can still recall that The Ketchup Song was an annoyingly catchy hit in summer 2002.

Gaffer'sGirl- 10-20-2007

I just watched the Ketchup Song or should I say most of it. I can see where the hand motions come in and I can see why you found it irritating. I don't understand the language and I found it extremely repetitious. Sometimes it's a good thing that songs that are a hit elsewhere don't make it here. Sorry for the Europeans that you had to tolerate that, since it said Palm Beach in the background, I'm thinking it was filmed in the U.S.

Sylviane- 11-17-2007

Ioan: "Look, Alice even decorated the walls in vintage style."

Frances- 11-17-2007

 Perhaps that's going too far with one's passion for vintage.

Sylviane- 11-17-2007

You think so? :plotting

StevieT- 11-18-2007

Nice one, Sylviane! I have to admit, my first thought on seeing this pic was; Christina: "Touch my bum again, Gruffudd and you're history!"

Shipmate- 11-18-2007

Hi, That picture is from "The Gathering", isn't it? I haven't watched it in a long time! Maybe we could start a thread on it? You Ladies are crazy with those captions, you know it? But, I love ya anyway!!!!!!!! :rotf:

StevieT- 11-18-2007

Maybe we could start a thread on it? If my 'uncut' version lives up to epectations, it may have to be in The Alley :naughty
