This is NASCAR Coca Cola 600. A job transfer took me out to Concord NC. It was hubby who told me about Ioan being here on Sunday. He saw it in the online paper.

Wow - talk about short and sweet. Looks like Ioan was busy taking pics of the car when they started the interview. Seems like they were more interested in speaking to Jessica than the others. Oh well.
Nice touch that after the prayer, they had the bagpipes play "Amazing Grace" - wonder if that brought back memories for Ioan of the movie and Wilberforce????

I was able to watch the first hour before coming to uni. I think Michael was really ticked that Ioan and Chris were introduced as "and friends" :roll: by the commentator, maybe he forgot how to pronounce Ioan's name. :applaud: Props to Jessica for introducing them properly. I am recording the last 3 hrs while I am here finishing my assignment which has to be presented tomorrow.
Also woke to bad news that rain has stopped the last 8+ laps of the indie race - but our Scott Dixon is lying 8th at the red flag, so not sure how much I will get to see tonight on the 'last 2 hours" that are due to be telecast. My other fav actor William fichtner is supposed to be there.
Also taped the Monaco F1 overnight - my fav race of all as it is usually near my birthday.

I was at work, but I just talked to my friend who went to the race and she said Ioan was introduced first on the stage at the event as Mr. Fantastic and that they pronounced his name correctly. She said Ioan did spend some time taking pictures of the cars and meeting some of the drivers. She got a lot of pictures that she has promised to send me and said I could post. The pictures are not real close, but she said you can see his face, expressions and body movement. Hopefully, I will have them sometime this week.

Thanks for the article and pics. All I caught on Fox's pre-race show was about 0.35 seconds of Ioan on screen (when the announcer didn't know his or Chris' names...hello, a little research maybe?).
During the race there was a teaser ad, something about FF2 being shown on Fox on Wed night? Did anyone catch this? I went to Fox's website and couldn't find anything there.
I missed the show because I was at work and my parents didn't record the pre-show like I thought they would. I've never gotten my VCR hooked up right since I went to Directv and never thought it was too important :hammer as I can still view videos and DVD's. Sounds like the TV coverage was a lot more limited than they had at the actual event.
My friend gets home late today from North Carolina and I hope to meet up with her on Thurs. or Fri. and get the pictures on a CD so I can pick and choose. Evidently she took a lot of pictures. She has a great telephoto with stablizers so there should be some good pictures according to what she said. I can't wait to see and share them. :woohoo

Yes; Skytv took the entire Fox telecast, and I didnt see anything about them being onstage - probably whenthe Fox commentators were 'doing their thing' in front of the cameras. ;angry:
