It definitely looks like these pics are from Pier's party. Ioan looks tired in them. Thanks for sharing, Annee.
Yeah, totally knackered! Well, I suppose it's no fun being the designated driver............
There again, the outfit looks the same he had for Piers Morgan.
It was karaoke night at Hollywood hotspot Villa last night and David Beckham wasn’t the only “star” to ruin your favorite songs. Gerard Butler, Kid Rock, un-funny man Russell Brand, Terry Seymour, Ioan Gruffudd and the ‘Dancing With Stars’ crew Jason Taylor, Cheryl Burke, Julianne Hough and Mark “I Hate Bloggers” Cuban.

I've just been to a hilarious karaoke do for my mate's retirement and I think it's almost written law you murder a classic. One of my friends (a very senior :nurse) does a wonderful rendition of the theme from Titanic standing on a chair, as her party piece. Then her hubby, a certain other copper (yes, she's also a matchmaker in her spare time!) and a couple of other guys trampled all over 'It Must Be Love' but I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
Long Live Karaoke!!!!!!!! :occasion: (and :nurse on the town!)
I think that murdering (and how you murder) songs is part of the fun of karaokes, at least for those who listen, unless you are purist. You can applaud someone who sing songs very well at karaokes, but it's when songs are murder that you laugh.
I've only been to karaoke a few times, but one was my going away party when I left California, so I had to sing. We had a blast.
I would have loved being a fly on the wall of the Villa karaoke night. I wonder if Ioan sang?
HuuuuuBoy! Not only does he look TIRED,but ...Ioan,Sweetheart,you look just plain smashed! Wonder how he felt next morning??!!
For me, I didn't think he looked smashed in the two pictures when he was walking down he street, nor in the videos, particularly the one at Nobu. ( I know you can't hear the videos, Ship) I'm not saying he didn't have something to drink, but he didn't seem to be slurring words in the videos or appear wobbly or bleary- eyed. He was very polite and clear.
Now, the first picture coming out of Piers party he looked more the worse for wear, but it's one picture taken at an inopportune moment. If there were more, I might agree. He's just taken keys out of his pocket, so was looking down. I also know from experience how blinding and harsh portable camera lights are (whether you've been drinking or not) - it does appear that the video was shot about the same time as the picture.
So, while I have no doubt he was having fun partying at Piers party. I'm not sure he was snockered at that point.
You know what,GG,-----I'm going to alter my view of what I said above a little. I had read these posts WITHOUT first seeing the video. Now that I've seen it---Ioan may not have had imbibed to excess, because he appeared to be conducting himself well. I'm not saying that he hadn't been tipping down a few,but that he looks and acts as though he could handle a car responsibly. See what can happen if I see/read/respond to some thing out of sequence/context?? Sorry,Mr. G.
I think it harkens back to some of those issues of being a celebrity. It is difficult to relax and be yourself because you never know when there will be a camera there to catch you not smiling or up.
Personally, I didn't think the picture of Gerard Butler going into Villa - karaoke looked the best, but it's hard from one or two pictures to judge the condition he's in. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, too.
This is only an observation, mind you, but when I put Ioan's name in on the TMZ 'search' line, his name came up only this one time. And, I'm thinking to myself----aww,WHY did it have to be for THIS, and not at least something a little more flattering? Especially, the first time on? (I KNOW it's THAT type of show, but I can wish, can't I?)
Didn't realize it only came up once. Maybe they don't keep them long. There was one about a year ago when he was outside Hyde Lounge - when the reporter ( and I use that term broadly) said something like - You're not Paris Hilton, but you'll do. - As usual Ioan was polite, though he seemed a bit ticked and he returned to the conversation he was having with friends.
They may have misspelled his name, which is why the search engine couldn't find him. Wouldn't be the first time. :dunno
