Great Expectations is a part of my collection. And yes, he does make a wonderful Pip. The scenes with Joe and in the jail. Heartbreaking.
By the way, did anyone else notice that the man who played Joe also played the father in the young Lancelot scenes in King Arthur.

It is kind of a recurring theme in Ioan's career to cross paths with the same actors in different productions... he worked with Clive Russels in Great Expectations and KA, with Sean Gilder in HH and KA, with Damien Lewis in Warriors and the Forsyte Saga...

I could tell it was the same actor when I first saw Great Expectations. I saw King Arthur in the theater first. Confirmed the same way as Frances - IMDB. Clive Russell is a very good actor and a very big man. He's around 6'5" and a large build, too. He just dwarfed Ioan in the scenes they played together.

Actually, my first idea was to go through the end titles of either KA or GE, but them I thought it would have been quicker to head for IMDb and look for the actor's name there.
