Nice pix, Annee, thank you! I wish they were bigger, too (sniff,sniff...) BUT, they're current-------and that's where it's at for me!! (Like the grammar, y'all?!!) Hahahaha---
Thanks, annee! a few other pics at Rex I haven't seen (I think - one loses track, don't you find?)
Welshboy's looking scrummy. Just wish he'd ditch that schoolboy gig....
I was looking more at other parts of him myself, Stevie,-----I'd deal with the 'schoolboy' later! -----Seriously though, wouldn't Ioan and Julieanne make a pleasant-looking film couple??!!! They really look cute, don't they? (Say in a "Good-bye, Mr. Chips" re-make??) ---------------------Maiden, thanks for the bigger pictures!!!
Cheers, Maiden! Thanks for sharing those pics with us.
I like Julianne Moore and I agree with you, Shipmate, that she and Ioan would make a good film couple. I hope to see them work together sooner or later.
Umm.. Why does he look a bit granny to me in those photos? Is he still wearing grey from the Fantastic four films in his hair or is it the lightning?
Thanks so much for the nice pictures, Maiden.
Painajainen, Ioan is getting to the age where gray tends to show up so it wouldn't surprise me if he had a few. I've wondered that myself.
I do think that sometimes it is the lighting. Sometimes photographers use a hairlight to create separation between the background and the hair. Since his beard is ginger colored, it is likely his hair has some too and they would be more reflective.
My hair is wavy/curly and dark brown and I have no grays and sometimes even when the light shines on my head in a certain way, it looks like a few pieces are colorless (and they look clear by themselves but whitish laying on top of my other hairs). I think that when your hair is curly and dark on top of that, the light doesn't reflect off of it evenly and makes it look strange in certain lights. Lighting does strange things...it can be your friend or your enemy. I was plucking my brows the other day when I noticed this so I think that different lighting can do strange things with dark hair.
I've also noticed that in some photo shoot pics he sometimes looks like he has highlights (blondish or light brown) in his hair and they are so perfectly placed that I doubt that it is the light playing tricks that time...it probably is hair coloring.
I've also noticed that his hair looks pitch black sometimes and then dark brown sometimes and then medium or light brown sometimes. He's admitted to being vain so maybe he is coloring it.
I "notice" too many weird things don't I?...I need a life!
P.S. He looks like a librarian in those pics.
I think it can also depend on the products you use for a certain style. gel can really darken the hair. It's my impression there are a few greys in there. both his parents seem to have been silver for a while, so he may go grey quite early. I quite like it (makes me feel not so ancient! )

Coloring his hair is he? I wonder how he'd look as a blonde... just kidding ;)
I think it might have been that slipover/cardigan/shirt. My granny wears something like that :-)
Thanks for posting the photos, Annee! He looks lovely, and smiley.
As an actor in general, you have to mess with hair color or treatments frequently, even the men, so it wouldn't be that unusual if he has colored his hair occasionally. He looks so good with dark hair, I'm not sure if blond would look as good on him.
The Pictures are great. Thanks Annie.
Is the missus kneeling or is Welshboy standing on a box? It's having a 'Time bandits' effect on me..... :???: Seems to be having a right old laugh, though!
Nice pics Maiden. Thanks!
GinaP
