Yes, oh so FINE...................

StevieT- 11-16-2007

I liked this cartoon from the New Yorker, it kind of reminds me of Zoo's Hornblower, (though not nearly as good!)

Gaffer'sGirl- 11-16-2007

Very cool, Stevie. Was there an article or commentary accompaning it? Was it from when the movie originally came out? I do like Zoo's Hornblower better. She did a very nice job capturing a young Hornblower.

Too sweet Stevie, too sweet. => :blush2: Thanks for sharing the picture, they aged him a bit. LOL. Edited to add: Thanks too GG, those two posts (St and GG) brought on the first smile for the day

Very cool, Stevie. Was there an article or commentary accompaning it? Was it from when the movie originally came out? . Sorry, here's the link. It's a review from when the film first came out and talks about Michael Apted too. It's a little tongue-in-cheek. http://www.newyorker.com/arts/critics/cinema/2007/03/05/070305crci_cinema_denby A search of the site revealed a couple of FF reviews too.

Gaffer'sGirl- 11-17-2007

I really enjoyed that article. It contained quite a nice complement to Ioan as an actor, too. And his name was spelled correctly. :happy

Silvia- 11-19-2007

Thanks for the links ladies!

StevieT- 11-22-2007

Thanks, annee! They all look as if it was a long, inteesting night, don't they?

Gaffer'sGirl- 11-22-2007

Quite nice!. If Ioan looked at me like he does in picture no. 5, I would just have to babble. Not sure I could say anything that makes sense.

StevieT- 11-22-2007

"Say what, GG?"

Frances- 11-22-2007

Now I have to try to say something that makes sense looking at the pic Stevie posted... Thanks, Annee! Great pics. I wish I lived in LA.

Gaffer'sGirl- 11-22-2007

I'm on :cloud9: and need a :cold shower 1. I'd try to act nonchalant :whistle and try to tell a joke - :rotf: that ends up not being so funny - :hmm:  :waaah: and finally I'd probably just :faint .

Shipmate- 11-22-2007

That's what I was thinking too,GG. I'd look and sound like the biggest idiot on the planet, I'm sure!

Silvia- 11-23-2007

I have a whole history of looking and sounding stupid in front of celebrities. When Viggo Mortensen called me "Precious" (King Aragorn or Gollum, uh?)I giggled and turned red and then started to shiver Sooooooooooooooooo Stupid!!!!!!!!! Same thing happened with Antonio Banderas and Gael García Bernal

Frances- 11-23-2007

You met Viggo Mortensen, Antonio Banderas and Gael García Bernal? I guess that would also giggle, turn red and start to shiver, if I met them (or Ioan).
