Grufford? :rotf: No, he has by no means reached "A"-status yet! :happy PS: I don't really think I have the right to laugh, after all this time on the IOL and the Zone I still type Iona instead of Ioan, and always have to correct myself. Yep, unfortunately, Ioan has not reached A-lister status, if we have to go by the misspellings of his name (I wonder how many people misspell "Schwarzenegger"). PS: I don't think I have the right to laugh either, considering that I sometimes write Grudduff instead of Gruffudd.

(Sigh!).........Ioan, poor baby!.......Grufford.......(sigh)......... :bricks :waaah:

It could be posted in several places: FF3-Spin Off Thread Moonacre Thread Here As a Mention As to me it sounds a mention, I decided to post it here. Credit goes to my Irish Sister. Funny story, coincidence we ran into another Fantastic Four castmaste Ioan Gruffudd while out to dinner in Budapest. He was dining with Tim Curry. They are currently shooting The Secret of Moonacre while in town. http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3586&Itemid=99

Thanks, Annee! :thumbs up

Thanks to my Irish Sister. Hence suitmaker to the stars Armani's penchant for stolid and smoothly handsome (if occasionally unmemorable) types of the Ioan Gruffudd variety, or swanky and tres Francois-Louis Vuitton's current campaign starring Catherine Deneuve. http://lifeandhealth.guardian.co.uk/fashion/story/0,,2198913,00.html

OUCH, Hadley!!!!! "Stolid"? "Occasionally unmemorable"?...............dare we call this lady............"vitriolic"?!! Ioan, what do you have to say to THAT, eh?---------------

And it possesses a certain vibrancy, with the likes of Ioan Gruffudd, Rhys Ifans and Matthew Rhys all The language is compulsory in our schools. It is a prominent feature of our National Assembly's workings. And it possesses a certain vibrancy, with the likes of Ioan Gruffudd, Rhys Ifans and Matthew Rhys all conspicuously proud of their Welsh-speaking upbringings. http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/news/feature-news/2007/10/27/happy-25th-birthday-s4c-91466-20018364/

Annee, Two very interesting opposite types of articles, offering a vivid contrast in "Ioan-bash/trash", and "Ioan-rave/praise"! I much PREFER the latter!!-------------Good reads,BOTH! (The second one was so informative, learned quite a bit from it............and, that's what it's all about anyway, isn't it?)

StevieT- 10-27-2007

Good finds, annee! Think the first article 'damns by faint praise' rather than bashing, doesn't it, Matie? I also wonder just how much opportunity ioan gets to speak Welsh, these days....phone calls to family and friends, I suppose. I wonder how many of those there are in a busy film schedule (Down! Down! You damned maternal instinct!)

Shipmate- 10-27-2007

Well.maybe "bash" is a little too heavy a word, but the jab of intent may still be there, hmmm? Guess I just couldn't resist using the "V" word! :whistle ----------- Yes,I'd give a pretty penny to hear/understand some of those,perhaps-infrequent-these-days, phone messages, wouldn't you?!! :secret: :secret:

Frances- 10-27-2007

Thanks for the finds, Annee. Interesting reads! OUCH, Hadley!!!!! "Stolid"? "Occasionally unmemorable"?...............dare we call this lady............"vitriolic"?!! Ioan, what do you have to say to THAT, eh?--------------- However, I don't know if the reporter's statement can be considered correct: Armani has created outfits for several celebrities (George Clooney and Russel Crowe, to name but two) and clothes for several movies. I also wonder just how much opportunity ioan gets to speak Welsh, these days....phone calls to family and friends I remember reading that just 22% of Wales population can speak Welsh (people using Welsh in their daily life are probably fewer than that), so though you read signs in Welsh as well as English in Wales (I suppose), I wonder how many opportunities you have to speak Welsh even in Wales. :dunno

StevieT- 10-27-2007

though you read signs in Welsh as well as English in Wales (I suppose), I wonder how many opportunities you have to speak Welsh even in Wales. :dunno My grandfather was a Welsh speaker and though my dad picked up bits, once they moved to Birkenhead, it wasn't spoken much (my grandmother was English) and Dad never really became a Welsh speaker. He regrets that now (and so do I!).

The Prince William Cup was chosen by Wales’ royal patron from three different designs by Llanelli’s Mari Thomas and Nicola Palterman from Neath. The pair – who also crafted actor Ioan Gruffudd’s wedding ring – say the 55cm trophy is their biggest and most elaborate creation yet. http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/news/wales-news/2007/10/28/prince-s-cup-of-tea-91466-20018625/

A little detail about what Viane posted in the Mattie thread. Tum Vero: Grain Of Salt Alert. Sienna & Rhys doomed? Mirror.co.uk - London,UK Rhys has already made a huge sacrifice for his new love - choosing his romance with Sienna over his relationship with his best mates, actors Ioan Gruffudd and Matthew Rhys. The three Welshmen - known as the Hollywood "Taffia" - were firm friends until Rhys "stole" Sienna, who was dating Matthew earlier this summer. Now Rhys has been ostracised. http://www.mirror.co.uk/showbiz/2007/10/26/sienna-rhys-doomed-89520-20011471/
