Too bad it's on the other side of the country from me. Ioan's voice does seem perfect for a reading. I wonder what the play is about. I'll have to look it up.
Enough reading
HI all,
Just called to get a ticket. This reading is full. I'm on a waitlist. I only need one so they think I will get one.
Wish me luck.
jackiee
Loads of good luck coming your way, jackee! And don't forget to tell us all about it if you do get in!
(Ploughkeepsie is such a lovely name, isn't it? It sounds really Scottish, but I'll bet it isn't!)
Good luck Jackiee!
Hate to say it and hope I don't offend anyone from there, but in the States, Poughkeepsie is often the butt of many jokes.
Hollywood stars promote Eisteddfod
THREE of Wales’ hot-*test*-('") stars have filmed a new trailer for this year’s National Eisteddfod of Wales.
Hollywood actors Ioan Gruffudd and Matthew Rhys feature alongside former Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones in the short film promoting BBC Wales’ coverage of the music festival, which kicks off on Saturday.
Filmed partly on location in Los Angeles and partly in the BBC’s studios in London, the promo shows the three stars phoning to tell one another not to miss the BBC’s coverage of the festival.
While Ioan, 34, and Matthew coolly enjoy the festival from their homes in Beverly Hills, a harassed Gethin, 30, frantically tries to get a Radio Cymru signal from various locations in BBC’s TV Centre in London.
But Edge of Love star Matthew, 33, tells him: “Keep trying – it’ll be worth it.”
This year the Welsh language festival is being held in Cardiff and expects to attract about 160,000 visitors.

Not living in Europe I can't watch it but I hope many of you can. Perhaps someone can also make a capture.
I can't watch it either, but what a great picture of Ioan. Thanks muvidlover for pointing it out.
Maybe one of these 2 will help? The first one came through an Brothers & sisters fan in Australia, If she can see it I assume anyone can. I could. .... MMMMmatthew, Isn't it about time for a sequel to Very Annie-Mary?

(scroll down a bit, there's the clip.)
Thanks Sylviane! The Walesonline clip just now came through via my google alerts. Now we all can watch it - and it has English subtitles too!
By the way, s4c.co.uk will be showing Eisteddfod highlights on their website (perhaps Matthew's bardic ceremony?). I think it will be live as well.
Aw, that's really sweet trailer! Thanks everyone concerned! Gethin's very easy on the eye too, I have to say!
Mmmm,I'll say! Thank you,Ladies, for everything! Very cool indeed. The guys all look so lovely, don't they? Hadn't heard anything about any kind of honor for Matthew??????) That's super,if it's so!!! OR, were you just kidding? :dunno--------------------------------Miss Jackiee, Much good luck with getting that ticket. Let us know how things turn out, huh?! -------------------------------- Had never heard of the piece Ioan is reading either. (Yuuummm, bet he will sound so good reading it,too!!) GG,if you find it,let me know, okay? Sound's enticing. (And, AE has somewhere to go on her birthday, too. Happy, happy,Honey!)
Oh! I could see it this time. Thanks so much, Sylviane. Hopefully, we will hear more of Matthew's honor and I hope that Ioan will be able to attend.
If Ioan attends his reading only (Aug 2nd), he could jet off "at once" and then head to Moonacre.
If he attends the Festival from Aug 1-3, then we will not see him in UK for Moonacre Premiere.
Time Will Tell, I Think. :)
The Complete NY Festival (Aug 1-3), The Complete Eistedd (Aug 2-9) and Moonacre is not possible, I daresay.
Guess we'll just have to wait. Sounds like the prospect of a very busy week for the Gruffudds.
I emailed Eisteddfodd to ask about WelshCake. Let's see if and what they answer. :)
