A new interview came out today. Hurrah! I've seen it several places, so no exact credit. I'm only part way through reading it and so far it's fun.

So now I finished it. There are a few of his older stories including the engagement and a more complete version of the cult story. As usual, Ioan is very open and has very little filtering. Personally, I like that about him. Hope you all enjoy it.
Oh Gaff I enjoyed it so much. Ioan is so sweet. I have the feeling that is going to be a father very soon.
Thanks for posting this, GG. I like this very much. These are more rational tellings of the old stories and they sort of make more sense. I really hope he gets his wish to become a father soon, but it's not his drinking that worries me..... :tsk tsk: General.
"He was vulnerable, strong, innocent, emotional. Perhaps the closest to Gruffudd himself. "
This is the impression I have always had of Ioan and I think it has been both his blessing and his curse. The interview tells us much - not least that there was more of Tony.......
And the picture......... :thud :cold shower 1
Thanks for posting it girls!!!
I agree with you Stevie
Thanks for posting, GG. This is a lovely interview, Ioan really seems to have opened his heart in it.
Yeah Stevie, I really liked the honesty and the retelling of the stories. You're right a more full explanation. One of the problems of talking off the cuff is that sometimes you forget details or say things differently in response to your listeners. As with the Craig Ferguson interview - the goal was to entertain so perhaps some things got over emphasized. Nice to hear a more full explanation of the church thing, too. Compliments to the interviewer, too.
And have to agree about the picture. Really like your new siggie.
Can't take credit for finding the interview as I spotted it several places before going to the source and posting it. Still haven't gotten it in a google alert yet. Mine are so late.
Cheers GG! I had the Alert overnight, but you had already posted..... :duel
I don't often find something before a Google Alert so I was rather excited and had to double check to make sure it wasn't posted.
Also thought I'd add that I do wish Ioan and Alice good luck in their pursuit of a family.
Thanks all around for the great interview posting! This is about the best piece I've seen written about Ioan yet. Seems very frank, open and well-expressed throughout. The picture(s)?.......well.....va-va-voooooooom!
Good luck Mr and Mrs Gruffudd with the family plans!!!!!
Can you imagine a little Ioan running around? How Cute!!!!!
 (and I also imagine a big Ioan running around........Alley, now General!!!!)
This Telegraph article goes much further into Ioan's portrayal of Tony Blair than the Times interview. Nice pic too!
Nice too, to see he consulted Alice before talking about baby-making this time Maybe he had an ear-bashing? Gotta love this line though.....
"I have my eyes on a brood of three," he says. "Ideally I would love a little daughter born in the same month as Alice, because then she would be this strong-headed, fun-loving young thing and it would be great to have two women with that kind of energy in the house."

There's a new interview out there with Ioan. Those Google Alerts pay off. Mostly about W, fame, and his life in the U.S., but there is a mention about Moonacre at the end that may lift our hopes for a release in the U.S. Not that Ioan mentions anything about U.S. release :???: and it is a London paper  , but one can still hope.
 Just noticed we were posting at the same time, Stevie.
Once again Ioan is being his charming, self-deprecating self. I thoroughly enjoy that.
On a side note - I do hope he was out on the Smoker's Corner for conversation and not a smoke. I realize it's the social thing to do in Hollywood ( many of the people I knew in Video Production smoked out of boredom and actors do it to keep weight off), but it's so damaging, unhealthy, addicting.
On another side note - In my personal life, I've found that most creative personalities (including myself) tend to addictive behaviors and poor boundaries, which means doing good and bad activities/ work or fun to excess. What say my other creative friends?
Great minds and all that, GG! I like the article and it's clear that Ioan's interviewers like him. 'Guileless' is a word that gets used often in connection with our Welshboy and I have to think it's perhaps what gets him into bother sometimes, too!
I edited my post and added another thought to my creative friends like you. What do you think?
"Guiless" is true. I also think the limited boundaries that allow one to be a good actor also come into play. It is that part of his nature that makes him open to the pleasure of others and at sometimes to a fault.
