I think I spotted Simon Baker in a yellow shirt and nope, I can't tell if Ioan is there. Although, I can't pick out the LaPlagia brothers either. Could be not everyone was in the picture. Thanks for posting that one, Muvidlover. Hopefully, we will see more.

Oh,shoot,--nope don't see Ioan anywhere either. Looks like it was a nice occasion however--and for a very worthy cause too.

Gaffer'sGirl- 03-02-2009

Maybe he ended up supporting the event in some other way. :dunno I did spot Nuno.

I hope the 6 weeks separating me from the release of The Secret of Moonacre will fly.

Gaffer'sGirl- 03-09-2009

I like that poster, too. I'm glad you'll finally get to see it, Frances.

Nicolette- 03-09-2009

Hello.* Thaks for the poster. :)

I don't think we've had this interview on the Zone before. I'm sure I'd remember Ioan dubbing the Smurfs........ ......When I was back in Wales, we used to dub a lot of the big cartoons like “The Smurfs” for example into the Welch language believe it or not. So as a youngster I was in a studio and sound booths you know, sort of mimicking. I just want to make sure—you did “Smurfs” when you were younger? Ioan: Yeah. Okay, I just want to clarify that. That’s amazing. Ioan: Yeah. I know. I translated it into the Welch language, so that experience of voicing something is being part of my upbringing.... http://www.collider.com/entertainment/article.asp/aid/6052/cid/13/tcid/1

I remember this, but it wasn't from here. A fun and funny fact nonetheless for those who don't know. Seems to me, I recall reading that he was involved in some voice-over stuff due to his grandparents involvement in theater and of course his ability to speak Welsh. I would guess if he did a lot of it, it's hard to remember it all. My former boss had a problem with forgetting what he'd done because he did a lot of bit parts that lasted a day. A client would come in and ask "I thought I saw you on Hogan's Heroesthe other day?" My boss would say "What role was I playing?" Client - "The SS Guard?" My boss - "Oh yeah! I was on the Gomer set and Hogan's needed an extra guy. I fit the uniform and got double pay that day." He was also in some Star Trek episodes, so I look for him in those cause he couldn't remember if he did four or five.

How funny,GG.....what a hoot! Poor man, couldn't tell whether he was coming or going, huh? --------------------------------- Stevie, This sounds kind of familiar to me,too. Sure do like all the nice pictures that go with it,yummmmmmmmm........

Gaffer'sGirl- 03-10-2009

Got to agree, I like the pictures too. Especially the first one where he looks a little windblown.

Shipmate- 03-10-2009

Tossled locks...........yep,that's for me!

Nicolette- 03-10-2009

Hello. "The Smurfs"? Wat s that?? Sounds cute.

Shipmate- 03-10-2009

Nicolette, It was a cartoon series---late 60's? early 70's---VERY popular here in the US.....the Smurfs were little troll-like characters, blue in color, and had all types of adventures in a land all their own. Kids went crazy for them,as I recall, and there was all kinds of merchandise of them and everything. There was "Papa Smurf" "Smurffette"...........and I'm creeping myself out because I'm remembering waaaay too much about all of this!!!!!!! :whistle :hide2:
