I found this fan blog of Ioan's major roles..it is amusing and she writes well. I looked to see if anyone else mentioned it. I apologize if it is repeated.
One of my favorite lines, (about Titanic) "I'm a little disappointed in myself, actually, for renting it at last for the sake of a cute boy. No, not you, Leo. Go sit down."

Sarai
Hi Sarai, I think this series of reviews does appear elsewhere on the Ioanzone site, but this one has been updated to include some of Ioan's later movies. The reviewer does a good and entertaining job giving information on each film. Be careful of SPOILERS,if you haven't seen a particular film, however!
As Ship said, this blog is well done. Even though it is familiar to many of us, it's always fun to take another look. There is much you have to look forward to in Ioandom  . Glad to see you participating.
oopsidaisy...Sorry, I guess I didn't look closely enough to see if it was here. Thanks for the input. I was too zealous! :woohoo
I'd rather see ZEAL anyday than APATHY!!!!!!!!!!
How comes it's the first time I've heard of it?

Alan Rickman reading "My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun" pretty much made my week. Sonnet 29 is set to music by Rufus Wainwright. And Hornblower alert: Ioan Gruffudd reads "Not from the stars do I my judgement pluck" with his lovely Welsh accent! Yum!

This is a 2002 CD annee. It's listed in his filmography above  but for anyone who hasn't heard it, it's lovely!
I recommend it to anyone who loves truly beautiful poetry. I got my copy through Amazon.com -------you WON'T be sorry!!!!!
I enjoyed this blogger's angle on Ioan's portrayal of Lance......

This mention caught my attention, as once -AG Promotion- it was hinted that WelshCake might have been involved in Narnia. :)
So...with all the talk about who should play Ramandu's Daughter, I suddenly started wondering who should play Rilian. Since I learned Apted is directing, I went off to watch Amazing Grace, and I've been sort of imagining Ioan Gruffudd as Drinian ever since.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I enjoyed this Happy Now Video MJ build up. :)

As nearly as I can tell Annee, and I searched to provide the benefit of the doubt, there is no hint that Ioan will be involved. It is one forum member's suggestion and wishful thinking because Apted is directing. Granted, that forum member is posting on the "official Narnia site", but not with any authority.
Morgan Richter blamed all the members of IO for the demise. I can say no more than that and not go into the Twilight Zone.
The video link you posted said the video is no longer available.
Annee - Even though it is a technically a blog, the Narnia blog might actually fit better in the thread about Roles we would like to see Ioan play. That would give members a chance to speculate and discuss the possibilty without starting rumors in that direction.
Stevie- I really like that description of Ioan as Lancelot. The discussion of archetypes seems really interesting, too. I may have to check that one out further.
There was a rumour around quite a while ago that Ioan had turned down a role in Narnia to do Fantastic Four (I think?) but it was never substantiated.
GG is right - we need to be careful to discriminate between Blogger's opinions and actual news.
:The General:
Again, sorry for my Narnia Post. :(
It reminded me of something I might have heard before; I thought it interesting and I posted it. :(
