I had never seen any of the Indiana movies so I decided to netflix the 1st 3. I loved the 1st one & the 3rd was really good!! I didn't care for the 2nd one at all though. Anyway, I finally went to see the 4th movie a few nights ago & I thought it was wonderful!! Really great action movie & I enjoyed the characters. I'm really glad about the storyline ending like it did. :) I wonder if they will continue making more?? I was very happy that they included Shia and I think he would be able to carry more of the movies if they wish to continue them.

I haven't seen this one yet,Cherry, and I'd really like to. Maybe now I'll wait for the DVD. Know it's good....I mean, how can you beat Harrison Ford?! (Sorry,Ioan! A tiny lapse in loyalty there!) :waaah:
CherryCokeGrl- 07-09-2008
you got that right... Harrison sure is hard to beat. I loved seeing it on the big screen for once. Makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the action :) --Sarah

Hi Cherry! I love the 1st and 3rd movies as well. The first came out when I was about 4 years old, but I remember going to see it at the theaters. The second came out when I was about 6 and we had had such fun with the first that my mom took me to see the 2nd. That was a huge mistake!!!! It was so disgusting and yes rather disappointing. I had once heard that even Spielberg and Harrison Ford didn't like the way it turned out and that was why they decided to do the 3rd. To kinda make up for that awful 2nd movie. I know audiences didn't much care for the 2nd one either. That could be folklore and maybe Spielberg had always wanted to do the 3rd one, but there had been several years in between.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed those original movies! It such a trip into my childhood watching them. I still want to see the newest one and I too really enjoy Shia. When I first heard they were doing this one and that Harrison Ford was reprising his role, I was VERY skeptical. My whole family was in fact. We thought he was too old for it. But just from the trailers, he looks great and it looks like loads of fun! I'm glad you enjoyed it Cherry!

Yes, I totally enjoyed the series. I can't believe it took me that long to finally watch them. Its funny because now my family laughs at me because I have become such a big Indy fan :) They enjoyed them as well though so its all good :) They came out starting in 1981 and I didn't see any of them untill 2008 so I'm just a little behind, LOL :)
Yes, it was rather weird how different #2 was compared to the others. It wouldn't surprise me at all GNAT0629 about your theory. I bet they did want to do another one just to prove that it really had 4 star quality movie power.

Hey Cherry - if you can, I was watching on A&E I believe it was, they had a whole special that talked about just how factual the movies are as far as the archaeolgical digs and some of the stuff Indy's been through while searching for an artifact. Surprisingly enough the archaeoligsts all agreed that A) most archaeologists went into that field because of the Indy movies and B) most of what Indy has been through in his findings are things that real archaeoligsts go through. All the dangers, the enemies, the bugs, the cultures they get wrapped in and of course competing scientists. They were also giving backgrounds histories and theories of some of the artifacts Indy was looking for in the 4 movies (the Ark, the 3 stones in the 2nd movie, the Holy Grail and the Crystal Skull). It was so interesting! If you can find that sometime you should watch it. It's very fascinating and exciting to know that Spielberg's done some background fact checking when writing these stories.
