My goodness, you guys sure know how to make a gal feel welcome back. :love2:
You should definitely give the Sevenwaters trilogy a try, Stevie. I loved it all the way through (and it got me reading more Marillier's stuff, which I've also loved). If you're into Celtic history and fantasy at all, then I heartily recommend it. (And, to state the obvious, it doesn't hurt to have a certain mental image in mind while reading... )
I've added it to my list, which grows ever longer  Terry Pratchett's new one Nation is holding my attention at the moment, as well as Andrew Pepper's Kill-devil and Water. So many books, so little time!
I totally agree with so many books and too little time. I may look them over next time I'm at the bookstore.
Yvannie - my brother has been involved as illustrator and writer of several graphic novels, so I know how wonderful they can be. They often explore stories that would have never appeared in the old comic books.

Ah, you can't imagine how much I'd like some extra hours were added to a day so that I can read all the books that I'm intrigued by or I'm told I should read.
Meanwhile, I contribute to keep bookstores alive  ...
Ah, I've always dreamed of having 48hr days, so that I could still sleep for 12 hours and read and write and do stuff as much as I would like to. There just aren't enough hours in a day normally.
And then I'm forced to correct myself. It's six swan brothers, not seven. It's seven altogether, with the one sister. How stupid of me. It must be the title of the series, Sevenwaters, that got my thoughts confused for a while. That, and the constant thought of Ioan as one of the brothers. Sorry about that, my brain malfunctioned a little. :wall: Ioan does that to me sometimes. It's difficult to count to six and seven.
Gaffer, wow, your brother is an illustrator? Are you allowed to say in which series he's worked? Anything I'd be likely to know about, as I'm not a total expert?
(Yay, I got my copy of Amazing Grace today in the mail, so I may have to go and resurrect a thread over at AG later, too. I'm going to be squeeing about it ages later than everybody else...)

48-hr days would definitely put an end to work and sleep getting in the way of my hobbies...
Happy viewing of Amazing Grace, Yavannie!
Thanks, Frances! I'm going to enjoy watching previously unseen (by me) Ioan. :)
Hi Yavannie, Nice to see you back again! I'm very sure that you'll like what you see veeerrryyyyy much.......
It's good to be back, Shipmate! :) And I'm absolutely sure I'll like what I see. ;) I'll have my glass of port by me and I'll enjoy every glimpse of the Welsh eyecandy. Might take me two or more viewings to get a hang of the plot, heh. :)
What a way to go,huh?!!! I feel so "sorry" for you that you'll have to suffer through it several times! :whistle
...and so many lovely close-ups of Mr. I too. What an awful shame for you. Poor girl!!!! (Maybe I'd better go warm up my copy myself!) :cold shower 1 :naughty
Anybody remember the Christopher Reeves movie "Somewhere In Time"? Wouldn't Welshboy be just right for the lead in a re-make of that one? Mmm,mmm, mmm!
Yes, he would be quite loverly for that one. Good pick, Ship.
