Now can someone please translate? Thanks
Hope you liked the pics girls!!!
Well, I can't do a translation. I suppose that will be up to Frances, but what I gather from the article is that they consider Hugh Laurie not the typical star. He was in Paris a week earlier with little fanfare. He kept a low profile. There is a little about his character, the cynical Dr. House and how different he is from Laurie. It mentions that he is in love with his wife of twenty years and they have three children ( with their names and ages). And something about him not being interested the typical siliconed Hollywood bimbo type.
How'd I do? Hopefully not too bad since my last French class was thirty years ago.
OH very good GG!!!!!! Here´s a little star for your forehead!! You liked the pics????
Love it,Selma! Thanks so much. (That "mean-but slightly-sad clown" look is adorable on him.)

This is a very bad translation of the article, but I hope it is understandable...
**********
The Doctor who attracts millions of fans to TF1 is a very caring husband
Dr House in Paris!
He is women's new idol. The well-known Dr. House, alias Hugh Laurie, was in Paris for a short stay last week. Undercover and romantic...
George Clooney and Dr Ross are useless. Today, the doctor who makes the women in the TV audience dream is Hugh Laurie, alias Dr House. The TF1's wild doctor and heartbreaker reaches an audience close to 10 million viewers with each episode. A success that doesn't go unnoticed in the . However, offscreen, Hugh Laurie keeps a low profile. In fact, few are the people who knew that the British star passed through France last week. With a cap pulled down, the TF1's diagnostics genius walked down Paris streets, without being approached nor bothered... Unbelievable! A phenomenon as amazing as the real life of Hugh Laurie. Since 2004, when he first wore the gown of the obnoxious (but very fascinating) Dr Gregory House, the actor has risen to stardom and become a sex symbol... But don't be mistaken, Hugh doesn't like either siliconed bimbos or trendy parties. Very different from the cynical and misanthropic character that made him famous, he is an eternal romantic, who's been living with the same woman for 20 years. Hollywood beauties can swoon for him, but Hugh Laurie has eyes only for Jo Green, his wife. Married in 1989, the couple has 3 children: Charles (20 years old), William (17) and Rebecca (15). A career that had that far been filled with small roles and not very convincing feature films took a turn that gave him international fame, especially after winning two Golden Globes in 2006 and 2007.
But success hasn't gone to the actor's head.
Actor, scriptwriter, director and producer, the charming 50-year-old Englishman is also a composer. Some of his music scores are played in Dr House. The guy is an author, too. His first novel, The Gun Seller, reached number 2 in the French bookshops' best sellers list. Published last January in France, this thriller filled with humour and plot twists, and whose leading character is weirdly similar to Dr House, was written and plublished in England in 1996... that is 8 years before the series was produced! Decidedly, the good-looking Hugh Laurie keeps surprising us and being talked about...
Thanks Frances. Leave it to the expert. A much better and more detailed translation and much appreciated.

I was thinking that Hugh Laurie not being your typical star has surely to do with what he is like as a person, but perhaps his having become a star when he was already in his mid-40s, after he had been working as an actor for quite a few years helped him not letting fame and fortune going to his head. :dunno
Tee hee! I won a cute little USB stick in the shape of a Lego man doctor yesterday at the Critical Care Conference, by being the first to identify House when the lecturer flashed him up mid-talk!
