Ah! The story finally comes out. I'd love to hear Ioan's version, but I'm so glad you posted that. I could just picture Ioan trying to figure out what to do. I would guess Ioan would say that he drank the same as Matthew, but handled it better. :wink: . Smart they took a cab.

Matthew says he would have handled it differently, but I seriously wonder about that. Also would Ioan really have been in a position where he could have RUN after her. He was LESS drunk than Matthew, but I think he was still pretty drunk too. Especially since it was HIS birthday... :twisted:

It does explain why they both have a "pregnant woman mugging" story. And I think you're right Sylviane, Ioan was likely not in any shape to run after her.

Now I really had to laugh. Mugged by a pregnant woman. And I also think that Ioan was not so drunk but drunk enough and not more able to run after the woman. That is a story for a comical film.

It is actually a description of the rolls Ioan plays in movies, i think it is also part of his nature and character: "Take the money, but don`t make me let my friend get hurt!" :-)

Actually, Pregnant women can be pretty fiercesome (as Ioan probably found out anew recently :wink: ) but thanks for that Sylviane - I needed a good laugh and a reminder of both our Welshboys' characters...... :cool:

Yes! And how people just blindly copy and enhance the story. It happened 'recently'? Prior to May 2001 is not 'recent' to me. Too funny! ETA: Come to think of it, if it was on Ioan's birthday than it must have September 2000 at least, because Matthew retold it November 2001 complaining that Ioan used it as a reply in a same sort of interview in May 2001.

I just hope they don`t get mugged this year again....;-)))

Cute Hope! :mrgreen: I guess they can both legitimately use the story and it is a good one. True journalists should put it in time perspective, but Entertainment writers don't really qualify as journalists.

Yes,Sylviane,I was thinking exactly the same idea. Just because it happens to be Ioan's birthday,those so-called "writers" make it sound like it happened only yesterday sometime. See,how misleading the press can be??!! (Kind of ticks me off in a way,you know?)
