Dear G.G, Stevie and Shipmate, thank you for your comfort words. I have given them to Tom who will inform his friend about it. He is very pleased with it. He is going to print this page and will give it to his friend after this weekend. For the moment the little baby is in the best hospital of Belgium and must be operated. They will take away the tumour. Tom hopes to see his friend next week with good news, so do we all. I will keep you posted on their progress. Love Marthe

A short update on my cousin. She is better now and she will very probably be discharged from hospital on Friday, with a treatment to have at home.

Glad to hear that Frances. Will her home treatment be difficult or will she just have to take some medicine and be more cautious.

Well, treatments will be difficult in the sense that she should be eating her food divided into 6 meals a day instead of 3 and then she will have medicine to take. Doctors said that they are letting her try if this is feasible: if this proves to be too difficult, or if her condition worsens again, she will have to be hospitalized again.

Marte, I am so sorry to hear about the baby with the heart tumor. I hope the treatment goes well and the baby grows to live a long and heathy life. Frances, I am sorry to hear about your cousin. I am glad she is better and will soon be home, Best wishes to all, GinaP :cool:

After a lot of examinations, the day has come that the little baby from Tom's friend will be operated. It is today. The operation will last 12 hours. It is a very delicate operation, but the tumour is not malignant. I will be a hard day for the parents, a day of waiting and hoping. Kain, the father has asked Tom to burn a candle. I feel so much compassion with the young parents.

I can understand how hard a day today will be for the baby's family. Hope the procedure will go well. I'll pray that it does.
